For the entire day, Ava was down and barely left her room. She had thought she would be fine no matter what happened, but it seemed she was still in love with him.
Joke's on her. He was right, she was an inferior being, lucky enough to be chosen and loved by the Alpha. If it hadn't been for Zayd, she might still be working down in the omega quarters. Maybe she had let her position and current privilege get to her head, fooling herself into thinking she was more than she truly was.
"Stupid," she cursed under her breath, smiling bitterly.

She heard the door slam and quickly wiped her tears, rising from her bed and walking over to it.
When she opened the door, one of her underlings stood there. She opened it wider and asked, "What is it?" Wondering why one of her maids had come to her door.
"Lady Lucy demands for you," the maid informed. Ava nodded but raised an eyebrow when the girl didn't leave.
