Lilith's eyes widened when she saw Bathsheba on the floor with a bloodied face. Her heart began to race. She was definitely going to be beheaded for this, and worse, she had dragged Elijah into her mess. Would he be chained up again for years because of her?
"You struck an Alpha! I will kill all of you!!" Bathsheba roared as his guards rushed to help him up.
Zayd quickly rose before the situation could spiral further. His voice rang with authority. "You have done enough. Don't embarrass yourself any further."
That single command was enough to halt Bathsheba. He shoved his guards away, seething, and stormed off while shouting in a rage that echoed through the hall.
Zayd then turned to Elijah and Lilith. "Take them both to the dungeon."
"No!! I want their heads this instant!!" Bathsheba bellowed, refusing to back down.
