Jaxon suddenly stood up, and it startled Fenja, as she backed away. Unfortunately, because of how small her room was, her back met the wall behind her.
"You can check me if you don't believe me." Jaxon put Fenja's hands on his body, which made her widen her eyes.
"Alpha!" Fenja was scared when he was very close to her; she could smell his scent: less cigar, but more cinnamon. "Th—this is inappropriate…"
"You can touch me. I don't mind. You can do whatever you want with me. I will not complain. You can stab me and kill me, but one thing that you can't do…" Jaxon placed her hands on his chest. Fenja could feel his beating heart against her palm. His heartbeat was very strong. "…don't ever leave me."
"Huh?"
Did he lose his mind?
Fenja's mind was reeling. She didn't understand what kind of situation she landed herself in, because less than fifteen minutes ago, she only wanted to enjoy her last instant noodles.
However, not only could she not eat her noodles, but also the Alpha barged in, ate her dinner, and now was only a breath away from kissing her.
Jaxon leaned over, his warm breath fanning her face. His scent was intoxicating, and so was her scent for him.
"Al—Alpha… this is not right…" Fenja's protest was swallowed by his kiss. His lips pressed against hers gently, as their bodies didn't leave any space between them.
Fenja was shocked. She was being kissed by the alpha of the Red Moon Pack!
"Mine." Jaxon muttered against her lips as he pried her mouth open with his tongue.

"Shayne, can I come in?" Nadia's voice echoed from outside the door. She didn't even wait for the answer when she entered the room without permission.
Shayne looked at her with knitted brows. "What are you doing here?"
Nadia looked at him sheepishly. "I heard you will take me to the capital city." She moved closer towards him and hugged him. "I am so happy! I am really happy!"
Rachel had told her, but only now did she have a chance to meet with Shayne directly because he had been very busy.
"Okay," Shayne said as he tried to distance himself from her. Nadia could feel it, but she kept her smile, pretending she didn't notice anything.
"Can you come to my bedroom for a while?" Nadia asked; she acted like usual. There was nothing that set an alarm off in Shayne's mind. "I want you to see the dress that I should bring to the capital city."
"Everything looks good on you, Nadia." Shayne stood up; he wanted her to leave his bedroom. He didn't feel comfortable with her close to him.
"Oh, come on. I don't want to look bad. It will implicate you, too, if I wear something inappropriate in that event, right?" Nadia stood up as well; she grabbed his hands and swung them as if they were still little.
There was something scary about an old habit; it was hard to change. In the past, no matter what Nadia wanted, Shayne would agree to that.
"Come on," Nadia said cheekily; she grabbed Shayne's arm and guided him to her bedroom.
She didn't even need to wait for Shayne to agree with her because the Alpha followed her back to her bedroom, just like how she wanted.
"You need to choose for me which dress will be great for the event," Nadia said excitedly. "For a while, I will try all the dresses."
In total, there were seven dresses and a few pairs of clothes that Nadia wanted to try on and for Shayne to see.
"What are you doing?" Shayne was shocked when Nadia was about to undress herself in front of him, but she simply chuckled innocently.
"Why do you tense up?" Nadia asked between her laughter. "We used to sleep, bathe, and get dressed together when we were little."
Not to mention what happened between them recently. Nadia walked towards Shayne; she was only wearing her bra.
"You don't have that kind of thought about me, right?"
"I don't." Shayne's answer sounded very tight.
"Great!" Nadia clapped her hands. She then walked back to her dresses and started to try them on one by one until the last one. "Which one do you think suits me better?"
"I think the third one is better." Shayne cleared his throat. He didn't have any other thoughts about Nadia; they were childhood friends, and what happened before was simply a mistake.
"Right? I did think the same," Nadia agreed with his opinion, but then she frowned. The zipper of her last dress was stuck. "Can you help me unzip my dress?"
Nadia turned around and gave her back to Shayne.
"Come on, I am a little bit uncomfortable here," Nadia whimpered.
Shayne didn't want to get close to her. He wanted to sit on the bed and be far away from her. Because despite what he tried to tell himself, he knew there was something not right with the way he reacted to her body.
There was this familiarity with her. After all, he had known her more than he knew Fenja.
"What are you doing?" Nadia pursed her lips because Shayne didn't move from his place; thus, she walked towards him and then knelt down in front of him. "Help me, please," she breathed the word and then gave her back to him.
Nadia put her hair to the side of her body and showed her neck.
Shayne finally raised his hands, feeling her skin on the tips of his fingers, and more was exposed before his eyes to see as he continued unzipping this damned dress.
Even when he was done unzipping the dress, he still couldn't let go. He touched her skin and felt it burn under his fingers like a sin.
His mind told him this was not the right thing to do, but his body didn't want to listen. He wanted to touch her, and his longing for Fenja fueled the fire.
