"My Lady, grab a wooden sword from over there," the commander said, pointing at the weapons.
I looked at him, then at the swords. "Why do you keep calling me 'my lady' like some old man?" I muttered as I made my way over.
He looked uncomfortable — it was nice. I'd been pissed the whole day because of Satan. He's so annoying yet so attractive. He's exactly my type, and that makes me even angrier.
Black hair and red eyes — the perfect match.
I grabbed a sword and swung it to the side.
It was heavy, surprisingly.
"Why do you hate being called a lady so much?" he asked.
I looked at him.
"A lady can't even look at blood. Isn't that basic knowledge?"
"I understand, Lilith," he said.
I smirked as he finally called me by my name.
"Did the Marquess family tell the emperor my name?"
The commander froze in place, his green eyes widening in shock. He probably didn't expect me to notice.
After a few seconds, he chuckled.
"Lilith, you are something else, I swear to God." He threw his head back as he said it.
"That's right. The Marquess told the emperor your name."
"That explains it," I said, walking toward him.
As I got close enough to strike, I lowered my body, turning to the side to make sure the wooden sword pointed at his stomach.
The tip tapped against his armor.
"You want to teach me how to fight when you've got your guard down all the time?"
"So do you, Lilith."
I only understood what he meant when I felt something touch the back of my neck — not so easy to bait.
He had pointed a wooden sword at my neck.
I considered every movement and its consequences.
If this were a real fight, his attack would've been much weaker. I had already stabbed him in the stomach. His face would've gone pale, and at most, he'd leave a small scratch on my neck before I could defend myself.
So the best move now...
Is to stab his knee.
He'd lose the ability to run and the ability to attack.
To be continued...
