Chapter 26 - Chapter 4

"Magic circles are usually used... Are you listening?"

My gaze shifts from the old-looking clock to the mage.

"What did you say?"

"To whom have I been talking to the past Solaris?"

"The wall, probably."

As I joked, it seemed I stepped on a nerve. His face turned red.

"You little—" Before he finished his sentence, the clock rang. I stood up and made my way to the door.

"Pathetic child," I heard the whisper in my ears, the same voice as last time. Low and husky, filled with danger.

"You again, Satan," I turned around.

There was no one. But I could feel dark magic coming from in front of me.

The mage might have been boring, but his explanation wasn't that bad after all.

Dark magic, the color purple—only Satan can use it, along with the chosen demon. The chosen demon is Satan's favorite. That demon is someone with an evil mindset or who has done many evil things. The chosen demon is dangerous—like fighting two Satans at the same time. Satan hates me. I hate Satan. So I wouldn't mind killing him. But Satan can't die. It's impossible for him to die. He is made of many evil souls that existed thousands of years ago.

"You are really annoying, Satan. Here I thought you were a mature adult. You think you can make me upset and depressed by calling me pathetic? We both know I am far from pathetic."

I must have looked like a crazy person to the people since I was talking to nothing.

"Seems like you're not that bad."

"You finally decided to show me your face," I commented. My lips slowly turned into a smirk.

Satan. Humans might expect him to look scary or ugly. But he was... good-looking?

His silky black hair ran down his back. His hair was longer than mine. Quite frustrating.

"You got a brain for a quarter demon, huh?"

"Of course," I said with pride.

"Now, what do you want, Satan?"

"I'm bored."

"So am I. How about I chop off your long legs since we're both bored?"

"Ahhh, how evil!" He wiped his fake tears with a white napkin.

"So spit it out—what do you want, Satan?"

"I want to annoy you a bit."

I took off my shoe and threw it at him, but he caught it.

"Give it back."

"You got big feet, kiddo." He said as he looked at my shoe.

"Shut up. Gimme my shoe back." I felt my face heat from anger and embarrassment.

"You shouldn't have thrown it at me in the first place."
