After a few days, I started training with Satan. His sword skills are like shit, but his magic spells are like shit made from gold—that's how perfect they are.
I had to attend etiquette classes as well. They're quite useful. I now have better posture while holding a heavy sword, thanks to those etiquette classes.
As I get out of the etiquette class, I hear unfamiliar footsteps.
I sneak closer to where the footsteps were. It was Max's room. This boy has been suspicious since the start.
I open the door a tiny bit so I can see what's happening in there.
As I peek in, I feel something touching my shoulder. I slowly turn my head to see who it is. I expected it to be Satan, but it wasn't. It was Kira—that nerd. She's twenty and still spends all her time reading in the manor's library. Why would she tap my shoulder?
"What do you want?" I whisper to her.
"What are you doing?" she asks. She was too loud, so I put my hand over her mouth to shut her up.
"There's someone in this room," I murmured.
"It's probably Max," she says, even though my hand is on her mouth.
"No, I heard their footsteps for the first time."
Light hits my eyes in the dark hallway. My gaze turns to the source of the light—Max's room. I release my grip on her mouth.
Max and another man looked at us. We exchanged glances.
A few moments later, I sat next to Kira on the couch in Max's room.
I crossed my legs and looked at Max and the man next to him, who were sitting in front of me and Kira.
Compared to me, Kira sat like a fucking lady.
I leaned into the couch.
"Who is that, Max?" Kira asked. She was calm, like she didn't care. From the first time I saw her, I never saw her smile. She always had that cold expression.
"Are you gay, Max?" I crack the joke.
Max's eyes widened in surprise.
Even though this world is not Earth, there are many similarities.
For example, gay people exist here and they call them gay. The language they speak here is also English, and other languages like Spanish or French exist here—surprisingly.
