Chapter 5 - CHAPTER 5

However, from the look on the attendants' faces, one could tell they were kind of disappointed the moment they saw Megan standing in front of the restaurant.

They didn't say a word, but their expressions spoke louder than their silence.

It was clear they knew exactly where they worked Everything Luxury wasn't just any restaurant. It was among one of the highest-end places in the entire city. It was where only the elite of the elites came to dine.

People who arrived here stepped out of private cars, wearing clothes that looked like they came fresh from Milan or Paris. The kind of guests they usually served had perfumes that cost more than a year's rent, shoes that never touched dirty ground, and smiles full of power.

But now, in front of them stood Megan.

She was beautiful, no doubt, but her clothes told a different story. The outfit she wore wasn't new. The material had lost its shine. The design? Popular maybe six or seven years ago. The kind of style that people had moved past long ago. Even the shoes on her feet were also old design.

But instead of saying anything, they decided to mind their business.

At that moment one of them tall, wearing a sharp uniform looked at the other, then both of them walked closer to Megan. They gave her a bow, but not the deep kind they gave to regular guests. It was half-hearted. Slight.

Then, one of them cleared his throat and spoke with a neutral tone.

"Ma'am… please follow us. Master Oliver is inside waiting for you."

At that moment, Megan could see the disgusting look on their faces. She noticed the way one of them tried not to stare too long at her shoes. She saw the way the other one looked down at her outfit and then quickly looked away.

But she didn't care, not even a little.

She didn't say a single word.

Her eyes remained forward. Her back stayed straight. She simply gave a single nod cold and unbothered.

They led the way, and she followed them without question.

She stepped into Everything Luxury, and at that moment, Megan was taken aback not because she felt small but because of how beautiful the place truly was.

The doors closed behind her, and she found herself inside a place that looked more like a royal palace than a restaurant.

The lights were golden and soft, hanging down like raindrops from the ceiling. The walls were made of glass and marble, and every corner shimmered. The air was cool, scented lightly with something expensive she couldn't place.

She could see some of the tables set ahead of her each one with a tall wine glass, shining silverware, and candles that flickered like stars.

The chairs looked like they were made for kings and queens, not for regular guests. Each one had its own space, not crowded, not rushed. The servers moved like dancers, not waiters. Everything felt carefully planned.

She took it all in silently, one step after the other.

At that moment, they arrived at the VIP room that Oliver had actually booked for the dinner. The hallway leading up to the room was covered in deep red carpet, and golden wall lamps lit the path like they were walking into a royal court. Every step Megan took echoed softly in the quiet corridor.

The two attendants came to a stop just outside a large double door made of thick glass and polished wood. Immediately they turned toward Megan and gestured with their hands that they had arrived. Neither of them said a word perhaps they were still unsure of how someone dressed like her ended up in a place like this but they kept their faces straight.

One of them reached for the handle and gently opened the door.

Immediately a soft wave of cool air and the scent of expensive cologne drifted out from the room.

And without wasting any more time, Megan walked right in.

Her steps were silent but confident. She didn't slow down or hesitate as she entered the VIP room.

The moment Oliver saw Megan step inside, he immediately stood up. His chair moved back with a small screech, and his face lit up like someone had just entered his dreams.

He didn't hesitate. He bowed gently to her, a deep, respectful gesture that came from the heart.

"Lady Megan," he said with warmth in his voice, "it is such an honor to meet you today."

His tone was genuine, filled with both joy and awe.

"I honestly never knew… I never believed you would accept my invitation," he continued, still smiling.

"This is a great honor."

His eyes stayed on her face, studying her carefully. And then he smiled wider.

"You haven't changed one bit," he said softly. "You look the same. In fact, even more beautiful than I remember."

There was no fake tone in his voice. It was real, coming straight from someone who once saw her in a place where most people didn't even smile.

At that moment, Megan turned slightly to Oliver, her expression calm but sharp with purpose. Her voice, though gentle, carried firmness and weight.

"Oliver," she said, "thank you… for the kind gesture. But, to be honest, this dinner, it's not just for gratitude."

Oliver's brows furrowed slightly in surprise.

"It's not?"

Megan nodded, her eyes now fixed directly on him. "Yes. I came because there's something extremely important I need from you."

The seriousness in her tone made Oliver lean forward slightly, his full attention now on her. His tone softened, genuinely respectful. "Lady Megan, anything you want just say it. I'll do it immediately."

Megan took a pause, then spoke. "You're one of the biggest shareholders in Kelly's company."

Oliver gave a short nod. "That's true."

"He's my former husband you know that right," Megan said plainly.

The word former caught Oliver off guard. His eyes widened, and he blinked in confusion. "Wait—former?"

Megan gave a faint, bitter smile. "Yes. We finalized the divorce today."

A short silence passed between them. Oliver's face shifted slowly from confusion to concern. "I didn't know... I'm sorry to hear that."

However Megan didn't acknowledge the sympathy. She moved on with determination. "I want you to pull out every investment you've placed in his company. Everything."

Oliver stared at her.

"You heard me," she said. "Every single Money."

At that moment Oliver didn't say anything at first. He just stared at Megan, his face unreadable. But deep down, his mind was spinning.

He had never imagined Megan would say something like this. The only reason he had even invested that enormous sum of 10 billion dollars into Kelly's company was because he knew Kelly was Megan's husband. That connection was the reason he had gone that far out of loyalty to her. But now… hearing her say former husband, something inside him shifted.

Without hesitation, he nodded once and said quietly, "No problem, After this dinner, I will start the process of withdrawing every single coin I put into Kelly's company."

Megan didn't say much. She just gave a small nod.

But Oliver knew, he knew that the moment he pulled out his investments, Kelly's company would collapse. The 10 billion dollars he had placed there wasn't just support—it was the only thing keeping the company alive. The moment he withdrew it, the entire structure would crumble.

At that moment, Megan simply leaned back in her chair, calm and collected, her eyes focused forward as a soft smirk curved on her lips. This was only the beginning. What she had done tonight was nothing compared to what she was planning next. Kelly had taken everything from her, her freedom, her pride. And now, she was going to take everything from him. Slowly. Quietly. Completely.

She crossed one leg over the other, her expression unreadable, but her thoughts loud and cold.

But just then, the calm atmosphere shifted.

Standing at the entrance was Dr. Kai. He stepped in.

He didn't look flustered, but his expression was stiff.

"Apologies," he said casually, his voice even. "I had to take an important call. I didn't mean to keep you waiting, Oliver."

His tone was respectful, professional, but his eyes

They froze the moment they landed on Megan, without being told he could tell she was the healers Oliver was talking about, the one that healed him.

Then he shook his head in disappointment.
