Chapter 10 - Chapter 10- Fourth level of Qi accumulation (2)

'Fourth level of Qi accumulation. So this is what it feels like to be at the fourth level.' He clenched his hands and could feel that his strength had increased significantly.

He punched out and the sound of air being torn apart could be heard. His gaze held awe and excitement.

"So this is what the fourth level can do..."

The spirit energy within his body was still swirling and he felt that some power was still in his body. So he decided to cultivate and consolidate his new level.

As he entered a semi conscious state, the purple lines came out from his body again and let out purple light. A few hours into the night, his eyes flew open and a shocking aura burst forth from his body.

A few seconds later, he immediately suppressed his aura and let out a deep breath. The purple lines had long disappeared without a trace as his gaze held tranquility as he looked at the full moon in the sky.

"I have succeeded in breaking through..."

His whispered quietly into the night. The night was calm and chill. Not the eerie chill that he felt in the corroded zone. This chill was more natural and soothing.

Now that he had broken through, he felt more at ease with himself. He could now protect himself from any danger that may arise. But even though he supposed to feel satisfaction, he felt hollow instead.

His gaze lingered on the moon for a few seconds before he retracted his gaze. His Grey eyes distant as he looked towards the corroded zone.

He decided not to break through within and instead came unto this high tree and broke through. He looked at the red clouds gathered over the corroded zone and felt at ease.

Then his eyes went to God's hand outstretched over the world.

"I have succeeded in breaking through to the fourth level, I should start preparing myself for the journey to Glory city where there was a teleportation rune.

The next day as Grey walked silently to the corroded zone, he saw a group of people coming from the scavenger camp and heading towards the corroded zone as well.

Grey paused slightly then he wanted to retreat. The glares and feelings he got from the scavenger camp was strange and he felt uncomfortable under the silent gazes that locked unto him throughout his stay there.

He would very much like to avoid meeting anyone from the scavenger camp as much as he could. They gave him a dreadful feeling. Well except for that girl.

She seemed normal at least but Grey could feel a sense of danger emanating from her when he tried to peer deep into her cultivation.

Although he could only guess from the spirit fluctuations coming from her body, he would say she was in the same realm as him. Maybe a little higher.

As he retreated he made sure that no one had taken notice of him, only then his wary heart calm down as he took another path into the corroded zone.

The other party he had seen all gave off strong spirit energy fluctuations that gave Grey a sense of life or death crisis. Which was one of the reason for his backing off.

"So there are strong people like this in the scavenger camp?"

But as far as they did not disturb him and did not cross paths again, he was fine. But why were they entering the corroded zone?

A frown appeared on his handsome face when he realized he was getting too curios. So he erased his previous thoughts and focused on safely navigating the corroded zone.

As he glided down the desolate streets of the corroded zone, his eyes narrowed slightly when he felt the presence of a rabbit.

After he had entered the fourth level of Qi accumulation, he had been able to sense some traces of spirit energy within creatures. He was still getting used to it and decided to test it by hunting.

He stopped and watched silently behind a tall tree as his face was flushed pink from the running and his breathing was a little laboured, but his eyes were steady and calm. He had always been like that.

He looked the rabbit that was quietly eating grass while checking its surroundings from time to time. When its head came down to chew in grass, Grey moved.

He dashed out from his hiding spot and ran towards the rabbit at his fastest speed which made him shocked.

He speed had increased significantly that he was almost lost balance to due to the sudden acceleration and inertia.

But he still managed to control his speed and before the little rabbit could hop back into it's hole, Grey had grabbed a hold of it.

"Wow, I am also this fast?"

When he was entering the corroded zone, he had not used his full speed so he did not know what he was capable of until he dashed out.

The rabbit trembled feebly in his hands and he almost felt like releasing it, but his stomach rumbled and smacked him out of that thought.

"Sorry, friend."

He brought his knife out and slit the throat of the rabbit. After making sure he was dead, he put the body inside his empty rucksack. He had sold the contents previously in the scavenger camp and had come back with some coins, but he still didn't use it to buy anything.

He was saving the money for his trip to Glory city, where he would use the teleportation rune to teleport to Sky Mist Academy.

He began to him a song as he made his way back to the dilapidated house. His eyes scanned the surroundings for any signs of bizarre existences or mutated creatures but when he did not see anything unusual, he entered his house warily and set down his rucksack by the side.

After taking several gulps of water, he took out the rabbit meat and skinned and took out its organs before washing it in water.

He set the coal stove and placed the raw meat over the fire to roast.

"Ahh, dammit. I forgot to buy some spices. I knew I was supposed to buy something."
