Chapter 11 - Visiting Antique Store

After Li Dagou asked, Bai Hanyun remembered she'd forgotten about meat and vegetables. In order to have enough strength to fight, the soldiers should eat more meat and take enough vitamins from fruits and vegetables.

Bai Hanyun replied after a moment of thought, "Yes. Please add 2,000 chickens, 2,000 kilograms each of bacon and sausage, and 2,000 boxes of assorted canned meats and fruits. If you have ready-to-eat sauces, give me 100 boxes of each kind."

Listening to her list of order, Li Dagou's smile widened until his eyes turned crescent-shaped. "We have plenty of sauces—both homemade and popular brands like Laoganma. Quality guaranteed!"

"Alright. Just give me both types." Bai Hanyun then thought for a moment and added, "I will also take 3,000 kilograms of seasonal vegetables. Just send whatever is currently available on the market."

"Got it," he said. After writing everything down, Li Dagou asked, "Is there anything else Miss Bai would like to add?"

She couldn't think of anything Feng Xiyan might need right now, so Bai Hanyun replied, "That's all for now. How much does it come to?"

Li Dagou's fingers flew over the calculator as he said, "Miss Bai has already paid for the white steamed buns and scallion pancakes, so I won't include those."

A few seconds later, he added, "Your total comes to 2.15 million yuan. Since you are placing a large order, I will round it down to 2.1 million yuan and Miss Bai only needs to pay 10% as a deposit. The rest can be paid upon delivery."

Bai Hanyun was impressed by his business sense and agreed. "Alright. Please send me your WeChat number, and I will transfer the money right away."

After they finalized the deal, Li Dagou sent her his WeChat info. Bai Hanyun transferred 210,000 yuan, took a screenshot of the receipt, and sent it to him.

"Boss Li, I have sent the money. Please have the goods delivered today—it's urgent."

After receiving the large order, Li Dagou finally let out a sigh of relief. His store was saved!

With a wide smile on his face, he assured Bai Hanyun, "Don't worry, Miss Bai. It will take no more than four hours from our warehouse to the delivery address. If nothing happens, they will arrive in the evening today."

Hearing that, Bai Hanyun smiled. "Great. Please call me when the goods arrive."

"No problem. If Miss Bai is satisfied with the quality of our products and would like to purchase more, please feel free to contact me directly. I will give you a satisfactory price."

Bai Hanyun will surely buy more in the future, so she was happy to get this connection. "Sure."

Ending the call, Bai Hanyun sighed and muttered, "Spending 2.38 million in one go… Raising 80,000 ancient people is no joke. If I don't find a way to earn money soon, my savings won't even be enough to feed them for two months."

Bai Hanyun sighed again, then glanced at the display cabinet. When her gaze landed on the bronze plate and the two letters, she suddenly jumped to her feet.

"Wait a minute! Since I couldn't read the words—could they be written in ancient script? Maybe I can sell the bronze plate and the letters. Should I give it a try?"

Once the idea formed, it refused to leave her mind. She quickly ran upstairs to grab her backpack.

Coming back down, Bai Hanyun found a box and carefully packed the bronze plate and two letters inside. After securing them in her backpack, she zipped it up and left in a hurry.

While waiting at the bus stop, Bai Hanyun searched for antique stores in Fu Cheng Town. After scrolling for a few minutes, she decided to visit the one with the highest ratings and best reviews—the Gu Bao Antique Store.

More than an hour later, Bai Hanyun stood in front of the Gu Bao Antique Store.

The store had three floors and covered more than one hundred square meters. Its interior followed an ancient style that matched the theme of the products displayed inside the glass boxes and display cabinets.

After taking a look for a moment from the outside, Bai Hanyun stepped into the store.

Unlike other stores where staff would immediately attend to customers, this one had no one to offer assistance.

Bai Hanyun glanced around at a few people browsing the antiques, speaking in low voices. Noticing a young woman behind the counter watching a drama on her phone, Bai Hanyun decided to approach her.

Standing in front of the counter, she knocked the counter's surface gently and said, "Excuse me, Miss."

The young woman paused the video, looked up, and asked, "Can I help you?"

Bai Hanyun nodded. "I have a few items that need appraising. I heard that Gu Bao Antique Store offers appraisal services."

The young woman nodded, put away her phone, and said, "The appraisal service is on the second floor. Please come with me."

Before leaving, she glanced at a man reading by the window and said, "Big Brother, help me watch the store."

"Mhm." The man hummed an answer without looking up from his book.

Seeing this, the young woman turned back to Bai Hanyun. "This way, please."

Bai Hanyun followed her upstairs and noticed that the second floor resembled a home more than a store, with a lounge and several rooms.

The young woman led her to the lounge and said, "Please wait here while I inform our appraisal master."

Bai Hanyun nodded and sat on the couch. Before long, the young woman returned with an elderly man in his sixties.

"Master Li, this is the young lady who needs your help," she said.

She then turned to look at Bai Hanyun and introduced the old man, "Miss, this is our store's appraisal master, Master Li Qin."
