Forest's Edge – Minutes After Kai's Reveal
Lengaza stood frozen. The fire behind him flickered like memory—soft, dying, and impossible to look away from.
"You said she erased me," Lengaza muttered. "Why would she do that?"
Dr. Kai Virell stepped forward slowly, voice low, deliberate.
"Because she loved you."
Raya shot him a glare.
"That doesn't even make sense."
Kai nodded.
"It will."
Flashback: Facility Theta—Nine Years Ago
The lab trembled. Sirens screamed like dying stars. Fire spread across the chambers.
Subject Six, barely nine, stood over a console with bloodied hands.
"Override memory implant protocol," she whispered. "Subject One… erase… everything."
She looked through the reinforced glass. Lengaza—older, unconscious, wires in his head.
"You won't burn like the rest of us," she whispered.
Then the screen blinked red.
> EXECUTING PROTOCOL: TOTAL MIND WIPE
Present
Lengaza gritted his teeth.
"She chose to erase me. She made that call."
Kai's voice softened.
"Because she thought the world would never let you be free unless she buried everything—your pain, your rage, your power. She thought she was saving you. But the fire didn't kill her. It changed her."
Raya looked between the two men, heart pounding.
"And now she remembers… what you were meant to be."
Lengaza turned slowly.
"No. What we were meant to be."
Cut to: Subject Six – Escaping the Facility
Glass shattered.
Subject Six stepped into the moonlight, barefoot, calm… and glowing. Guards fired. The bullets melted mid-air.
She whispered.
"I'm not your weapon."
She vanished—like light bending, reality peeling.
Back at Camp
Lengaza stared out into the darkness.
"If she's out… the Program will hunt her. Every asset, every drone. I have to find her first."
"And if she's not the same?" Raya asked softly.
He picked up his coat.
"Then I'll remind her who she is."
Meanwhile – Deep Underground
A boardroom of men in shadow.
The Chairman slammed a file shut.
"Lengaza has made contact with Kai."
Another nodded grimly.
"And Six has awakened. It's begun."
"Then deploy him," the Chairman said.
"You mean—?"
"Subject Two."
From the darkness… a hiss.
And a figure smiled.
