Outskirts – Just Before Dusk
The sun hung low like a dying eye. Birds stopped singing.
Raya stiffened first.
Lengaza followed—a feeling like heat behind the neck.
"Something's wrong."
He grabbed the sat-com device. Static.
"We're being jammed."
He barely finished before the windows shattered inward.
Raya screamed. Lengaza grabbed her and rolled across the floor, glass raining down.
> "DOWN!"
The cabin door blew open like a whisper. Quiet. Wrong.
Boots stepped inside.
Not fast. Not loud.
Confident.
Lethal.
Subject Two stood in the doorway—coat long, expression blank, white hair flowing like frost in motion.
"Lengaza," he said.
"You're supposed to be dead."
"Aren't we all?"
Flashback: The Day They Sealed Subject Two
Screams echoed. Blood trailed the halls.
The alarm lights blinked red.
Subject Two, laughing, knee-deep in destruction.
He turned to the cameras.
"Even your gods fear what you made in me."
They sealed him in Vault Zeta with 23-ton magnetic locks.
Until now.
Back to Present – Cabin Ruins
Lengaza motioned to Raya.
"Get out. Now."
"I'm not leaving you."
"This isn't a debate."
Subject Two raised a hand. The air grew heavy. Gravity twisted.
Raya tried to move. Couldn't. The weight crushed her to the floor.
Lengaza clenched his fists. The markings along his arms shimmered.
"You want a rematch?"
Subject Two grinned.
"I want your heart in my hand."
The Fight Begins
The world bent around them.
Wood burst. Trees split in half.
Lengaza dodged a flying knife, slammed into a wall, leaped back with a spinning kick that met nothing but smoke.
Subject Two countered with a whip of energy that shattered the earth. Lengaza flipped mid-air, caught the cabin's beam, and swung hard into his opponent.
Metal met bone.
Blood hit the dirt.
Raya, gasping, dragged herself out of the zone—barely alive, heart pounding.
And as she looked back…
Lengaza roared.
Half of the forest lit up blue.
Elsewhere – Subject Six
She stopped mid-walk.
Her eyes widened.
"He found him…"
She turned. Ran.
"No—he found me."
