Chapter 33 - Episode 32: The Devil’s Heartbeat

Forest Ground Zero – The Final Collision

Lengaza stood amidst the destruction. Every fiber of his body burned with energy, his mind focused on one thing: stopping Subject Two. The sky above him crackled, a storm of raw power, thunder booming like an unholy anthem.

Subject Two raised his blade again, a line of red energy arcing through the air. His face remained blank.

"You can't win, Lengaza. You've never stood a chance."

Lengaza's smile was a flicker of madness.

"I am the chance you never saw coming."

His hand erupted in flames, swirling like a vortex of destruction. He launched forward.

Meanwhile – Raya, Inside the Heart of the Ruins

Her vision blurred. She couldn't look away from the destruction—couldn't ignore the power surging through the air. Something deep inside of her stirred, memories coming alive like ghosts clawing at her mind.

"This was supposed to end…"

Her breath came shallow. Her heart raced. The pulse of energy around her was alive—and she was bound to it.

She stood, her body trembling with a power she could no longer deny.

Suddenly, the ground beneath her feet trembled as Subject Six appeared from the shadows.

"It's time to make it stop."

Raya's eyes flicked to her, confused. "What are you talking about?"

"You'll see," Subject Six said, stepping forward with quiet certainty. "I created you. And now… I'll destroy everything I made."

Subject Two, Mid-Air, Reeling From the Strike

Lengaza's energy had knocked him back—hard. He spun, landing on his feet with precision, his eyes flashing with recognition. This fight was different. This time, he wasn't just facing a man.

"This power..." he muttered, eyes flicking between the two women. "You brought her back. Didn't you?"

Lengaza's laugh was dark, almost haunting.

"The question is... why haven't you killed her yet?"

Subject Two's eyes narrowed.

"Because I don't need to."

Subject Six, Stepping Into the Eye of the Storm

Her hands glowed with the same energy that had created Lengaza—a dark, oppressive force. The air shimmered with her presence.

"This world," she said, voice like a blade cutting the air, "was never meant to be."

She raised her hands, the energy in the atmosphere swirling around her, bending to her will.

Lengaza stared at her.

"What are you doing?"

She didn't answer. Instead, the earth beneath them cracked wide open, and a massive black storm cloud formed above. The wind howled, deafening, and the very trees seemed to bow before her.

"I made you. And now I'm going to unmake everything."

The Fight – The Final Act

The air trembled as Lengaza and Subject Two charged at each other once again, but Subject Six was no longer just a bystander. Her energy collided with theirs, creating a shockwave that shattered the very fabric of the forest.

Lengaza, staggering, swung his fists, but Subject Two was already there—every move he made was calculated, precise. The fight was escalating, each blow carrying the weight of a thousand forgotten secrets.

"You can't hide from me forever, Lengaza!" Subject Two shouted.

Lengaza countered, his body weaving through the chaos, but the moment his back was turned—Raya, pulled by forces she didn't fully understand, reached out with her hands.

And then, the world went silent.
