In an instant, fragments of fire and shattered rock flew everywhere, shredding the nearby volcanoes. The terrifying collision even created a fleeting energy black hole that completely pulverized all visible matter.
Watching this world-ending scene unfold, Kumoko was utterly dumbstruck.
The Earth Dragon was so strong! And that black-clothed man was also insanely strong! When they used their real power, it was truly heaven-and-earth shattering!
Elliot had been like this before too; he'd never truly fought seriously against other monsters because they were simply no match for him.
Among the three of them here, the only weak one... was her!
That's right. Even with all the skills she'd gained, compared to these true monsters, she wasn't even in the same league!
In the clash against the red sun magic, the giant meteor [Tendo Bansho] held a slight advantage, successfully overpowering Kuro's ability. The massive star rock crashed down directly onto Kuro.
BOOM!
After the violent explosion, a circular crater dozens of meters wide formed around where Kuro had been standing. The rock within the crater melted, forming a pool of lava.
[Control Immunity]
[Damage Nullified]
No damage numbers appeared. No petrification effect took hold. Instead, two immunity messages popped up.
[Tendo Bansho] dealt bonus damage equal to 33% of Elliot's Max HP, which was nearly 1700 points.
Adding the skill's base damage and the boost from [Dominus Lapidis], a single cast could deal close to 3000 terrifying damage.
Against a low-armor monster, anything with less than 3000 HP would be instantly vaporized, not even ashes left.
But this skill hadn't dealt a single point of damage to Kuro. It didn't even slow him down. The once all-powerful [Tendo Bansho] had failed spectacularly here!
This was an Administrator, a being on a completely different plane from ordinary monsters. They weren't even from the same world, figuratively speaking!
"A little interesting," Kuro said, casually waving away the lingering smoke and dust. That attack would have crippled, if not killed, any ordinary monster. Unfortunately for Elliot, Kuro was an Administrator, not some common beast.
"Please accept this... welcoming gift," Kuro murmured.
Tactical-Grade Abyss Magic - Gravitational Singularity!
As Kuro spoke, the surroundings responded. The entire mountain range trembled, the earth shook. Lava, rubble, dust... all matter began to rise upwards, slowly coalescing into a brand new celestial body above them.
So-called "Tactical-Grade Abyss Magic" referred to spells capable of annihilating an entire human army. Because such magic rendered all fancy tactics useless, it earned the "Tactical-Grade" designation.
Of course, this wasn't the highest tier of magic; above it were spells capable of destroying cities or even entire nations.
Looking at this Gravitational Singularity forming, Elliot was speechless. You son of a...! Isn't that basically the ultimate attack of that 'Pain is greater than yours' guy from Naruto? You're plagiarizing! So shameless!
Immense gravitational force suddenly emanated from the ground. The next moment, the infinitely compressed matter completely erupted, unleashing an unimaginably terrifying shockwave. This attack shot towards Elliot, crashing down from above!
Kuro had realized that ordinary attacks wouldn't work against this Earth Dragon. So, from the get-go, he was using extremely powerful skills.
Even Earth Dragon Araba would be crippled by this attack. But this particular Earth Dragon... it didn't seem to belong to this dimension.
Kuro estimated that even this Gravitational Singularity might not be enough to finish it.
Of course, if his opponent did die to this skill, then that would be the end of it. He would have successfully cleaned up some messy code in this world, a meritorious deed in itself.
With a deafening explosion, the earth was torn asunder. The surrounding environment became a desolate wasteland, as if ravaged repeatedly by a dozen rampaging giants, utterly unrecognizable.
Through the thick smoke, a figure wreathed in faint flames stepped out. It was Elliot.
He didn't look too good. His HP had dropped to only a tenth of its maximum. The skill also inflicted a [Grievous Wounds] effect, completely stopping his natural health regeneration. As expected of an Administrator's skill, it was terrifyingly potent!
Trapped within the spatial barrier, Kumoko watched the Earth Dragon with eyes full of pain and worry.
This was the most battered she had ever seen him. But it wasn't his fault; the opponent was just too overwhelmingly powerful.
Immune to damage, immune to control, while possessing devastatingly high damage and god-like abilities... A being like that was practically unbeatable.
What can I do? What can I do for the Earth Dragon?
No! There's nothing I can do!!!
She glared at the pure black man, her eyes filled with burning hatred! "I will! I will DEFINITELY kill you! No matter where you run, to the ends of the earth, I will find you and kill you!" Hatred consumed Kumoko's heart, hatred for the one who hurt the Earth Dragon, and hatred for her own powerlessness!
Elliot's expression, however, didn't change much. Facing an Administrator, he truly felt his own insignificance.
And yet...
Even an ant should aspire to soar like a swan!
Even if life is as fragile as paper, one must possess an unyielding heart!
If even Kumoko felt that way, how could he, an Earth Dragon, feel any less? Even if it was a god, if it dared to show its health bar, he would kill it!
"[Requiem of Souls]!"
Elliot's MP instantly emptied as he activated the skill. This was the ability he'd gained after defeating the Fire Dragon, capable of dealing massive damage directly to the soul.
Administrators were indeed powerful beyond imagination, but did that mean he should just give up and die?
Of course not.
Elliot wasn't going to submit easily. As long as there was even a sliver of a chance, he would attack a god, no matter how small of a chance that was even in trillions!
Myriad phantoms swirled, the song of death resonating through the heavens.
Pfft—
Suddenly, Kuro felt his soul tremble. A deep-seated fear and agitation from within him were infinitely amplified. Then, a mouthful of blood sprayed uncontrollably from his lips.
"This... This is..."
"Impossible!"
He was injured. How could this be? The damage wasn't high, but he had taken damage!
As an Administrator, he shouldn't be hurt by ordinary skills, even soul-targeting ones!
Administrators, while not having [Heresy Nullification], were Divine Kin; they shouldn't be breached by lower-tier abilities, just like human technology couldn't break through a Trisolaran droplet!
Kuro looked at Elliot, his gaze filled with disbelief, but also a hint of admiration. Although he was an Administrator, he wasn't arrogant.
He understood very well the kind of will it took for someone to actually harm him! This Earth Dragon before him... possessed the determination to slay a god!
"I lost. Testing you out like that… I have caused you trouble. I apologize."
His tone was no longer condescending, nor sharp; it was surprisingly gentle.
Then, healing magic flickered, and Elliot's HP rapidly recovered.
Once he acknowledged the Earth Dragon's strength and resolve, he could be surprisingly accommodating.
Besides, his main purpose here was to make contact with Kumoko, not to kill this… Earth Dragon.
"Consider this my debt to you," Kuro said, his voice devoid of joy or sorrow. He was an Administrator; he operated without personal bias. But being injured by the Earth Dragon... that had genuinely shaken him.
