The space ahead shimmered like a dark abyss, and then, the upper half of a man's body emerged. He was entirely black, the color of pure ink.
His form-fitting armor seemed to be one with his body. His face was also dark, his hair like night itself, and his eyes glowed like blood.
Even with Elliot and Kumoko's maxed-out Level 10 Appraisal, a single, chilling line of text popped up:

Strangely, this black-clad man evoked completely opposite feelings in Elliot and Kumoko. Kumoko felt a faint sense of kinship, as if her power, to some extent, originated from the same source as his.
But Elliot felt an extreme, bone-chilling terror. The way the man looked at him... it was like an experienced programmer staring at a baffling bug in the code, the kind that meant another all-nighter, a feeling of utter despair. And he, Elliot, was that bug!
This pitch-black man was an Administrator, known as 'Kuro' (Black). Elliot remembered from the story: after Kumoko killed Fire Dragon Rend, this Administrator, Kuro, would appear. Kuro wouldn't harm Kumoko because the Evil God D had taken an interest in her.
But for him? It was a different story. He wasn't supposed to be in this world; he was an anomaly, an error!
The moment Kuro saw Elliot, an overwhelming pressure crashed down on him, making it almost impossible to breathe.
"Hey, hey?"
"Konnichiwa?"
"Wibbly wobbly?" (Gibberish)
"Watashi wa Kumo desu!" (I am a spider!)
"Eh? Eh? You don't understand? Are you perhaps... an international friend?"
"I can't speak Engrish!" Kumoko tried to communicate, even resorting to her broken, half-baked English! The English education in Japan was notoriously bad, often using katakana for pronunciation, which was like using Pinyin to sound out English words it sounded very strange.
The man tried a few different languages in return, but Kumoko couldn't understand any of them either.
Finally, Administrator Kuro used telepathy a direct mental link.
"Fire Dragon Rend... Did you kill it?" Kuro's mental voice was directed at Elliot.
Elliot nodded. "I killed it." There was no point denying it. The massive wounds on the Fire Dragon's corpse clearly couldn't have been made by a palm-sized spider. It had to be him.
"Who are you, exactly?" Kuro's tone remained flat, but even Kumoko could sense something off. This black-clothed man seemed to be specifically targeting the Earth Dragon.
Elliot remained silent. The area plunged into a dead quiet. An unspoken tension hung heavy in the air between the three of them. Kumoko glanced nervously between Elliot and Kuro, wanting to say something but holding back.
She clearly didn't understand why this dark man was so hostile towards Elliot right from the start.
Was that Fire Dragon his pet or something?
"Since you won't speak, I'll have to find out for myself." After saying that, Kuro slowly raised his hand, extending a single finger towards Elliot.
Invisible shockwaves pulsed out from him, blowing away the intense heat of the surrounding area. Then, the tip of his finger aimed directly at Elliot's heart. Abyss Magic formed in an instant.
BOOM!!!
A terrifyingly powerful beam of black energy erupted from his fingertip. In a single moment, it slammed into Elliot, sending him flying backwards.
The shockwave broke the sound barrier, carrying Elliot a staggering five or six hundred meters before he crashed!
The explosive sound reverberated throughout the entire labyrinth, causing countless monsters to collapse to the ground, dazed and deafened.

"What was that?" Far away, Earth Dragon Araba lifted its noble head, looking towards the direction of the tremor.
As one of the strongest beings in the Great Elroe Labyrinth, it had no natural enemies; any monster that saw it would flee in terror.
Yet, even this dominant ruler now showed a hint of caution in its eyes.

"Has it begun already?" In some other dimension, a woman of exquisite beauty and graceful bearing smiled faintly.
She was Administrator D, the one who had granted Kumoko all her abilities, the puppet master behind the scenes.
She had been watching Kumoko's growth from the very beginning, curious to see how far such a weak little spider could go.
However... this Earth Dragon named Elliot had unexpectedly appeared in her field of vision.
And as he appeared, her interest in him actually surpassed her interest in the spider. After some observation, she discovered this Earth Dragon was also a reincarnator, but one not listed in her records.
"Interesting... Let's have Kuro check him out."
"I'm very curious... how long can you last against an Administrator."

Back in the lava sea, the once scorching lava had been completely blasted away by Kuro's attack, splattering everywhere. Clearly, in his eyes, the lava was just an annoying obstacle.
"What do you think you're doing?!" Kumoko stared daggers at Kuro, an boundless killing intent radiating from her small form.
How dare he! How dare he! Elliot was her partner! Even if this man was someone she could never hope to defeat, she would absolutely not forgive him!
"You should stay out of this for now. This doesn't concern you." Kuro calmly lowered his finger. A spatial cage instantly materialized, trapping Kumoko inside. Kumoko hadn't learned Space Magic yet. Trapped by a cage like this, no matter how fast she was, she couldn't escape.
"Damn it!" Kumoko slammed her body against the distorted walls of the spatial prison again and again, but it didn't budge an inch. This man's power was terrifying! He could seal her abilities with a casual gesture!
Earth Dragon! The Earth Dragon is in danger!
Ignoring the laws of physics, Kuro floated high into the air, looking down from hundreds of meters above at Elliot, who had crashed through several small volcanoes.
"Seems I used a bit too much force."
"But, no matter." His body moved as if teleporting, instantly appearing directly above Elliot.
However, when he saw Elliot's condition below, his brow furrowed slightly. With the force of that last attack, Elliot should have been at critical health, at least. But the Earth Dragon's HP hadn't dropped nearly as much as expected. What's going on?
"You're strong," Elliot said, standing up, looking a little battered.
He had managed to activate his Jade Shield at the last second, absorbing most of the damage, but his expression was grim.
This Kuro... wasn't an opponent he could defeat with just high stats. It was like back when Kirito's game stats were incredibly high, yet he was still humiliated by Sugou Nobuyuki, who had admin privileges.
Kirito only managed to turn the tables with an external permission/authority granted by Kayaba Akihiko.
Beings like Kuro were practically gods in this world! Existences that ordinary people could only look up to in awe!
But... he had to try everything in this… he can't outrun him… hide from him… pr anything soo…
"[Tendo Bansho]!"
High in the sky, a colossal meteor formed, blocking out all light. It descended like a falling sun and moon, shaking the very stars.
Kuro frowned. He raised his hand, and a burning red sun materialized, radiating extreme heat, melting the surrounding rocks.
The meteor and the red sun both exuded a deep, heavy pressure. Then, they collided with a deafening CRASH!
