Extra Chapter…(On Completing 900 Power Stones)
….
In this world, not even gods were truly immortal. So, whether it was Vennessa or the Seven Archons, none could defy the laws established by the [Heavenly Principles].
The background lore of this world did say: The Sustainer is dying, but the Creator has yet to arrive. No matter how strong the [Heavenly Principles] were, it seemed they needed to draw power from external sources, unable to be self-sufficient.
However, for Elliot, his current mission wasn't to fight the Heavenly Principles or obtain a Gnosis.
So, he didn't need to get bogged down in the complexities of this world's ruling system right now.
Still, it was a huge surprise to encounter Mondstadt's Spark Knight right after arriving.
Hearing Klee's voice, Elliot inexplicably thought of a certain white-haired, super-strong loli who loved to smash things with a giant cross...
"Dodo—King—!"
"Hey, Dodoking—! Why aren't you answering me? Was Klee too slow? Did I make you unhappy? Then Klee apologizes! I'm sorry!"
Standing in front of the Earth Dragon, the little girl shouted at Elliot. In her eyes, this Earth Dragon was the Dodoking who had written her letters. Even though she considered Dodoking a "big bad guy," she showed no fear or caution towards Elliot.
"Klee, you ran too fast! We couldn't keep up!"
Elliot lifted his gaze and saw an elegant, ethereal-looking young woman appear. This was the Traveler, the protagonist from Genshin Impact.
And the little pinkish-white fairy floating beside her was, of course, Paimon. They had rushed over, worried Klee might be in danger. Klee was strong, yes, but still just a child.
Klee pointed at the Earth Dragon lying on the ground. "Honorary Knight big sister! I found Dodoking!"
"Is that... a dragon?"
"It definitely looks like a dragon. But is this dragon the Dodoking from the letters?" Paimon, floating in the air, analyzed the situation for Lumine (or Aether, depending on the player's choice for the Traveler).
Just then, Klee stood proudly before the Earth Dragon, arms crossed, head held high. "Dodoking, you can... uh, you can pass judgment on Klee now!"
Paimon facepalmed. "This kid... she doesn't even know what she's saying."
Right after Klee finished speaking, the dragon on the ground twitched. The Earth Dragon opened its eyes, a golden light flowing within them. Just the act of him rising to his feet caused the ground beneath him to tremble slightly.
"Eeeek—He moved!" His body was immense. Though not as colossal as Dvalin, he exuded a similar, unfathomable draconic pressure, naturally making them hesitant to approach.
But at the very front, Klee was still walking closer to the Earth Dragon. "Dodoking, are you finally willing to see Klee?" She wasn't very cautious; after all, she came to this island specifically to find Dodoking.
However, Lumine and Paimon were terrified. If anything happened to Klee, Acting Grand Master Jean would lose her mind!
"Swept Away!" Lumine, in her panic, unleashed her Elemental Burst. A tornado shot towards the Earth Dragon. Anemo skills could absorb other elements, and here on the coast, the tornado naturally swirled with Hydro.
Watching the tornado approach, Elliot just shook his head.
"Steadfast as Stone!" A Jade Shield, inscribed with golden sigils, rose around him. The Hydro-infused tornado slammed into it but dissipated like water into sand, dealing no damage to Elliot whatsoever.
Seeing the Jade Shield materialize around Elliot, Lumine and Paimon exchanged shocked glances. They both saw the same astonishment in each other's eyes. This... isn't that Mr. Zhongli's skill?
"That's Zhongli's ability! How can he use it?!" Paimon exclaimed, her face a mask of disbelief. They had fought alongside Zhongli against Azhdaha, and Zhongli had used this very skill multiple times to protect them. It was obvious at a glance that the shield this dragon just used was identical to Zhongli's.
Looking at the Earth Dragon before them, Lumine activated her [Elemental Sight]. This ability allowed her to see traces of elemental energy, similar to Elliot's own world's [Appraisal] skill, but limited to identifying elements.
With Elemental Sight active, the world around Lumine dimmed, and only elemental energies glowed brightly. As far as she could see, the Earth Dragon before her radiated a strong Geo elemental aura the same kind of aura she'd seen when they fought Azhdaha!
"This dragon... it's an elemental being," Lumine whispered, her grip tightening on her sword. She wasn't sure what kind of creature this was.
Hearing Lumine, Paimon was shocked. "No way! An elemental being? And a dragon?!" Elemental beings were common in this world slimes of various elements were everywhere, and there were Geo elemental creatures like Geovishaps. But a dragon-shaped Geo elemental being? They had only ever seen one like that before: Azhdaha.
"Could it be... Dodoking is actually this giant dragon, similar to Azhdaha?" Paimon wondered aloud, her little face etched with confusion. A dragon being "Dodoking"... it just felt so out of place.
"...He might not be Dodoking," Lumine finally said, a thoughtful expression on her face.
Lumine shook her head. A creature on the same level as Azhdaha wouldn't be some "Dodoking." The only thing she was sure of was that this creature was extremely dangerous!
Back when they fought Azhdaha, if Zhongli hadn't been there, she wouldn't have stood a chance of sealing it with her own strength.
That was an ancient dragon, as old and enduring as the mountains and seas, as brilliant as the sun and moon!
Even if this suddenly appearing dragon wasn't as strong as Azhdaha, it was definitely not something she could handle!
What do I do?! Neither Zhongli nor Madame Ping were around. There was probably no one here who could deal with this giant dragon. ...Barbatos? Forget him. He was just a good-for-nothing slacker.
And judging by how easily La Signora from the Fatui snatched his Gnosis with a simple grab, Barbatos's actual combat strength probably wasn't that great.
"Oh no! That giant dragon looks like it's going to attack Klee!" Seeing the dragon make its next move, Paimon quickly warned Lumine.
Indeed, the dragon's massive hand moved towards Klee. It's over! At this speed, there's no way to save Klee from under that giant palm!
Lumine's golden eyes widened, her heart screaming "NO!", but the dragon's hand descended relentlessly. Paimon even covered her eyes, afraid to witness the impending bloody scene.
But... what happened next was completely unexpected. When the Earth Dragon's huge hand was just a short distance above Klee's head, it slowed down. It didn't slam down. Instead, with a gentle rhythm, it began to pat Klee's head.
After a moment, Paimon, hearing no screams or crunches, slowly peeked through her fingers. Seeing the harmonious and friendly scene of the giant dragon and the little loli, Paimon was utterly bewildered.
"Ah, it looks like... he doesn't mean to hurt Klee."
Lumine also nodded, her gaze still fixed on the dragon. "Mm, but we still can't let our guard down."
Being petted on the head by the dragon's wide, gentle hand, Klee beamed. "So Dodoking isn't a bad guy after all!"
This child... she trusted others way too easily. But she really was adorable. No wonder so many people were willing to spend a fortune (like 648 primogems) just to pull this little loli from the gacha.
Elliot sighed and then, to their surprise, spoke in human language. "I mean no harm. However, I'm not any 'Dodoking' either." This island was called the Golden Apple Archipelago, not belonging to Mondstadt, Liyue, or Inazuma. It was its own separate place. If it weren't for the letters from "Dodoking," they wouldn't have come here.
"You can actually talk?!" Paimon exclaimed, surprised. Her voice was a bit high-pitched but had a lively, energetic feel.
Elliot chuckled. "The fact that emergency food can talk is pretty shocking to me too."
"Who are you calling emergency food?!" Paimon put her hands on her hips, huffing indignantly. Why did everyone who saw her look like they wanted to eat her?
"Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Elliot."
"I'm Paimon, and this is the Traveler, Lumine! That little one is Klee." Then, she flew closer, tilting her head. "But why do you have Zhongli's skills? Are you and Zhongli related?"
"You could say that... I know him pretty well."
"Elliot... So you're Zhongli's cousin! You should have said so earlier! Then we wouldn't have had to start fighting right away!"
"..." Elliot wasn't sure how to explain. He was a dragon, and Rex Lapis's true form was also a dragon, but they were different species.
Anyone familiar with Rex Lapis's backstory knew that Morax was actually an Archon, his true form being half Qilin and half Dragon a completely different lineage from Elliot's pure-blooded dragon kind. They weren't related in the slightest.
Of course, since Paimon had already jumped to her own conclusion, it saved him a lot of trouble.
"Everyone, be careful!" A gentle yet commanding voice called out from a distance. Two more beautiful young women were arriving.
