{SETH'S POINT OF VIEW}
"Good morning master" My right-hand man greeted me as he held the car's door open for me.
I wasn't impressed and hated mornings, the sun makes my skin burn and I can only move around properly dressed to cover up every inch of skin.
"Brother!" My brother Ryan's voice stopped me from entering the car.
I turned around and tried to calm the anger that boiled within me as I set my eyes on him.
As a hybrid within our clan and kind, I was seen as a mistake and a mistake according to them shouldn't exist.
It would have been easier if I was a Psi~( Vampires that derive their power from a physical source rather than blood. They drain energy from other life forces to replace their own)
Or Sanguinarians~( Vampires that get their energy from drinking the fresh blood of a living creature).
I would have easily blended in and escaped this hatred but that isn't even the reason my brother despised me.
It's because I'm both a PSI and a Sanguinarian. It makes it impossible for him to get rid of me.
I'm stronger than him, and to crown it our father favours me more than him.
Even when he managed to defeat and kill our other brothers, he still could not win father's love.
And that's why I'm the one running most of the businesses we own among humans.
"The mutts you kept locked at the dungeon are breaking out, you know right?" He asked with a sick grin on his face.
His green eyes staring at me with a silent challenge.
"There is no way they would break free without interference." I replied through gritted teeth.
If father hadn't warned us against fighting each other, I would have wiped the smug look off his face years ago.
"Then you can find the interference or give those dump humans something to talk about when they catch them".
He said with a chuckle and walked away with his hands tucked into his pockets.
The situation is dire as it is and I can't let it get worse.
"Cancel my plans for this morning, let's take care of this mess first". I said to my right hand man and he nodded.

My day didn't go as planned and I managed to get back four out of the escaped prisoners.
I was angry and tired when I got back home to freshen up for a lunch appointment.
I would have cancelled the lunch if it wasn't because I have been avoiding that particular company for months now.
I had seen the CEO of the company at an event a while back and I was struck by the similarities he has with him.
Or am I hallucinating?
Although it's been years, he still looks almost the same.
From the bold and outspoken high schooler to the respectable company head, he still hasn't changed.
He had brought a date with him to the event and that shows he still hasn't found a way to live his truth.
He is human after all.
I drove myself to the restaurant and walked into the private room he had booked for the lunch.
This lunch might end up south but I want to see how it goes first.
I pushed the door gently inside and he immediately perched up in his seat.
His brown eyes and rosy lips called to me.
"I can't do this".
Our eyes met for a few seconds and he frowned slightly as if trying to remember me.
He wouldn't even if he tried hard enough.
My appearance had changed after that day.
The only thing that's still the same are my eyes.
My features had a subtle and noticeable change.I had shed my human side and now looks every inch as my father.
"CEO Alvarez?" I called out with my hand outstretched.
If I want this to go on smoothly I have to pretend to be professional.
"I'm Seth D'Alesandro" I continued and he finally put his hand in mine.
It was warm, tender and a bit smaller than mine.
I held on for too long and finally let go after he faintly tugged back.
This won't work.
I can't collaborate with his company and manage to keep my hands off him.
And I can't with everything going on in my life.
I can't afford to.
"I won't do business with you CEO Alvarez"
"Call me Castiel instead," he corrected me.
I forgot what I was going to say for a few seconds and could only stare back at him.
Why does it get so hard to think with a clear mind with him just a few feets away?.
"I can't do business with you Castiel" I repeated myself, the name rolling off my tongue like a spell.
The last time I pronounced that name seems like lifetimes ago, it is a lifetime ago to me actually but it's been just a little over a decade.
Castiel I repeated under my breath.
He went quiet after that, the lunch carried on in total silence.
How do I explain to him that I wasn't really turning him down because I feel like it but because it's the best I could do in this situation.
"Thank you for making time to see me" He said coldly before climbing into his car and the vehicle left quickly afterwards.
My phone vibrates against my chest where I had tucked it in my inner pocket.
I already know who it was without checking to see.
"There is a problem" Jack, my right hand said with a sigh from the phone.
I could recognise that sigh as a sign when things had gone awry.
There goes my little chance at thinking properly about Castiel.
"We have failed to capture the last of the prisoners and we are worried he would get captured by the humans" he quickly filled me in.
Causing a headache to filter through my head.
"You fail to capture a fucking mutt Jack, what the hell do I have you for!" I fired in frustration.
Why can't things be normal for once?
I did not choose this life, can't I have a little moment of normalcy?.
"I'm sorry sir" He responded reluctantly.
Jack joined me at the restaurant looking worse than a dog chewed by a pack of wolves.
"What happened to you?" I asked not because I'm worried because I really needed to know.
If things were this bad, then it would be dangerous.
"The last one is one of the oldest prisoners and he had gone a little crazy" He filled me in.
"Where was he last seen?" I asked as my mind worked quickly to find some solution.
"Here" he said pointing to a spot on the map before handing it over to me.
"Fuck!"
This is bad!"
