Chapter 20 - Chapter 20: The New Vanguard Website

Valkery woke up and immediately checked her tablet, noticing a new notification from Vanguard.

"To all new and existing members. Thanks to massive investments, Vanguard now has an official website accessible to all members and the general public for registering their khodams."

Website Features:

1. Personal Data: Enter your personal information, including a profile picture.

2. Khodam Registration: Register the number of khodams you possess, their skills, power levels, and photos. Make sure to update regularly after each power increase to aid in better defense force deployment.

3. Khodam Activity Pages: If you have five khodams, you will receive five dedicated pages, each with a photo and video gallery. Six khodams will give you six pages, and so on. Activities can range from planetary exploration to everyday tasks.

4. New Equipment: Thanks to the investment, Vanguard has mass-produced dimensional storage rings and high-tech cameras that are durable and damage-resistant.

Valkery suddenly sat up straight, wide awake.

"An official website? Like a social media platform but with khodam profiles?"

Curious, she immediately opened the website, finding that many people had already registered.

She typed the name Nadien.

A profile popped up featuring a beautiful woman in office attire, with several photo galleries. Her profile indicated that she was level 65 and owned seven khodams. Below Nadien's photo, images of seven massive snakes appeared. Valkery clicked on the first one, revealing a gallery of the green serpent, including videos.

She then clicked on the second snake, which had fewer photos but was noticeably smaller than the first. Its name was Eternal Light Serpent. Valkery wasn't sure if it was stronger or not.

Despite being hesitant about revealing too much information, Valkery knew that sharing data was essential for strategic deployment in the fight against aliens.

She started registering herself, entering Rai's identification number, followed by her photo.

Then, she clicked the Add Khodam button and uploaded Angel's information, then added Valkery's data as well. Using her tablet camera, she took a selfie with both khodams and gradually filled in the remaining information.

Once done, Valkery left her profile and began exploring other people's khodam pages, intrigued by Kenzo's theory that subsequent khodams tend to resemble the first.

The website turned out to be surprisingly fun. Users who owned dragon-like khodams, mythical creatures, or other powerful entities quickly became popular, gathering numerous likes and comments.

Moreover, Valkery noticed that the khodams people registered did seem to resemble one another, confirming Kenzo's theory.

Rai sighed, after spending almost two hours browsing the website. Nearly everyone he saw who possessed a khodam had similar traits to their first one.

Only a small fraction of people had khodams that differed significantly from their initial one, and even then, the difference wasn't absolute. For instance, someone who awakened a large bird as their first khodam later gained a flying reptile as their second. Although they differed, there was still some similarity.

Rai felt confused and a bit disappointed. His hopes of obtaining a masculine khodam seemed to be fading. Without encountering a special opportunity, achieving that goal would be quite difficult.

However, Rai couldn't deny that his current khodams were incredibly powerful. Angel's skills, Firefly Light and Wind Sword, were highly lethal. Meanwhile, Valkery's abilities, Thunder Spear and Tempest Barrier, were formidable. Lightning itself was an extremely destructive element, and its voltage could be enhanced from 1,000 volts to 10,000 volts, or even up to 1 billion volts imagine the damage it could cause.

In the end, Rai felt both fortunate and a little unfortunate. The downside wasn't too significant since his khodams were beautiful women, and he could use their bodies freely. He could admire them in the mirror as much as he wanted unfortunately, it was technically still his own body.

But in terms of power, his khodams were not inferior to those of dragons or other mythical creatures.

Due to the newly launched website, Rai decided to postpone his exploration of Jupiter. Instead, he ordered a camera, eager to test it out on the distant planet.

After checking his profile and noticing the blank photos of his khodams, Rai felt that it was lacking. Considering how beautiful his khodams were, he believed their aesthetic appeal could easily surpass that of dragons from a human perspective.

"Hehe," Rai chuckled softly. Without hesitation, he used Angel's body and took a few eye-catching photos, emphasizing the curves. Unfortunately, Angel's large wings made it challenging to wear varied outfits, so he stuck with one suitable outfit for now. Perhaps ordering a custom outfit later would be a good idea.

Next, Rai switched to using Valkery's body and borrowed some of his mother's clothes. Getting caught up in the excitement of taking photos with different outfits, Valkery stayed busy. Eventually, Rai uploaded the photos to the Vanguard website.

Not long after, both Angel and Valkery received a flood of likes and comments, with many people complimenting Rai's beautiful khodams.

Thanks to this positive feedback, Rai's mood brightened, and he started to genuinely appreciate his khodams even more.

After receiving his khodam, Rai transformed into Valkery, determined to master her skills. He realized that he had never properly trained this khodam's abilities. Considering the possibility of facing aliens in the future, Rai knew he needed to be prepared.

Training on Earth would undoubtedly cause significant damage, so he chose Jupiter as the ideal location. The planet's vast, stormy landscape and hostile environment made it perfect for practicing powerful skills without worrying about destruction.

Since Rai decided to go to Jupiter not for exploration but to train his skills, he planned to focus on mastering Thunder Spear and Tempest Barrier.

Upon arriving at Jupiter, Valkery hovered above the swirling storms, her plasma wings keeping her steady amid the turbulent winds. She focused on her hands, channeling energy to form a Thunder Spear. The spear crackled with electricity, flickering between 1,000 volts to 10,000 volts as she concentrated on stabilizing it.

To increase her control, Valkery practiced adjusting the voltage. Starting with a weaker spear, she increased the energy gradually, making sure to maintain its shape and power. She aimed at a distant floating rock, releasing the spear. The impact created a burst of sparks and left a scorched mark.

Next, she practiced rapid summoning, creating and throwing the spear in succession, focusing on both speed and precision. To increase the challenge, she moved through the storm, maintaining her balance while launching spears at moving targets rock fragments swept by the powerful winds.

After exhausting herself with spear practice, Valkery decided to work on Tempest Barrier. This skill required maintaining a stable protective dome while withstanding the extreme atmospheric pressure and relentless storms.

She landed on a relatively stable floating island, extending her hands outward. A shimmering barrier formed around her, pulsating with electric arcs. Valkery focused on making the barrier more compact, testing its resilience by summoning gusts of wind within it.

To further test the barrier's endurance, she let the storm strike directly against it, reinforcing the shield every time it showed signs of breaking. Gradually, Valkery practiced combining both skills creating a Thunder Spear while keeping the Tempest Barrier active. This multitasking was challenging, but she knew it was essential for real combat scenarios.

After hours of continuous practice, Valkery focused on energy conservation. Instead of using full power every time, she practiced adjusting the intensity based on the situation using weaker barriers to conserve energy and reserving full power only when necessary.

Through rigorous training on Jupiter, Valkery not only honed her skills but also adapted to maintaining power under harsh conditions, boosting both her attack precision and defensive durability.
