When they arrived at the monitoring room, Angel couldn't help but be shocked.
"Oh my, there are so many Havoc Spiders," Angel exclaimed.
Without wasting any more time, Angel used teleportation to head straight to Mars.
Upon arriving, Angel was greeted by a chaotic scene. The once barren landscape was now overrun with gigantic spider webs stretching across entire craters and valleys. In the distance, countless Havoc Spiders moved in coordinated patterns, as if preparing for something significant.
Angel noticed that some of the spiders were carrying large, pulsating egg sacs, while others were busy fortifying the entrances to newly constructed nests. Among the chaos, Angel saw a few Havoc Spider commanders giving orders, their bodies significantly larger and covered with dark, metallic exoskeletons.
It became clear that the Havoc Spiders were not just spreading but consolidating their hold on Mars, transforming it into a massive breeding ground. If left unchecked, their numbers could grow exponentially, posing a threat not only to Mars but potentially to Earth as well.
Determined, Angel steeled herself for the task ahead. She needed to find the central hive and destroy the queen before the situation became irreversible.
Angel flew high in the sky of Mars, observing the red planet's surface from a great altitude. From up there, she could clearly see the countless Havoc Spider nests scattered across the landscape. Each nest was guarded by several warrior Havoc Spiders, and some even appeared mutated, with larger bodies and more intimidating forms.
Angel kept flying, searching for a nest that looked easier to destroy. Her goal was not just to annihilate but also to find Havoc Spider samples that could be analyzed on Earth. If their weakness could be discovered, it would make them much easier to defeat.
After a while, Angel spotted a smaller nest compared to the others. She decided to approach, but suddenly, from behind the nest, a Havoc Spider Mutant emerged. Its body was far larger than the others, with a shiny black shell and bright red streaks. Its blood-red eyes glared at Angel menacingly.
Without warning, the mutant spewed a hot, lava-like fluid, but Angel managed to dodge it swiftly. She launched an attack using her Light Fireflies, which burned with a blue, fiery glow. However, the attack only left a small scorch mark on the mutant's hard shell.
"What? Heat-resistant?" Angel murmured in shock. She tried attacking with her Wind Blade, a sharp gust that could easily slice through solid ground, but the fierce wind only made a small scratch on the thick armor of the spider.
Suddenly, the Havoc Spider Mutant leapt at incredible speed, managing to claw Angel and leave a deep wound on her shoulder.
"Ahhhhh!" Angel screamed.
Angel staggered backward, blood dripping from the injury.
"Damn, it's stronger than I thought!" Angel gritted her teeth as pain started spreading.
Realizing the danger escalating, Angel decided to transform into Valkery. Her body glowed briefly, shifting into the Valkery form.
"If the khodam doesn't die, recovery time is shorter," Valkery thought quickly. She opened her status briefly.
Angel recovery time: approximately 10 minutes.
Without wasting time, Valkery summoned her Lightning Spear, with electric energy crackling around the weapon. She thrust the spear toward the Havoc Spider Mutant. As the lightning struck the spider's shell, a loud crackle echoed. The mutant's body convulsed in pain as the electricity coursed through it, rendering it motionless.
Valkery seized the opportunity and drove her spear deeper. The spider let out a roar before collapsing helplessly, its body charred from the electric shock.
Valkery took a relieved breath. "Are they weak against lightning? There are hardly any thunderstorms on Mars... maybe that's why they have no resistance to this attack," she mused.
Valkery collected the alien corpse in her dimensional ring, grateful for the armor that had a dimensional pouch on angel.
After waiting 10 minutes for recovery, she reviewed the footage of the short yet intense battle.
"Luckily, this drone recorded everything," Valkery murmured with relief.
Once sufficiently recovered, Valkery approached the nest and attacked it with her lightning spear. Sparks of electricity surged, shattering the nest into fragments. Afterward, she transformed back into Angel, using Firefly Light to incinerate the remaining debris.
Angel approached the area where the Havoc Spider eggs were located. After a quick count, she realized that there were over a thousand eggs. "If a small nest has this many, the larger nests must contain even more," she thought.
Determined to move swiftly, Angel transformed back into Valkery. Her plasma wings were now more stable due to Mars' calmer atmosphere compared to Jupiter's storms. Floating high in the sky, Valkery spotted swarms of Havoc Spiders roaming around a larger nest.
Valkery raised her lightning spear high, gathering a massive amount of electric energy. When the spear glowed brilliantly, she aimed it downward. With a powerful throw, the spear shot like a bolt of lightning, striking the ground in the center of the Havoc Spider swarm.
A thunderous explosion erupted as electricity spread like a shockwave, obliterating dozens of spiders at once. The Havoc Spiders' bodies turned black and convulsed before finally collapsing motionless.
Unrelenting, Valkery continued her aerial assault. Each throw of the lightning spear decimated clusters of spiders attempting to flee. The repeated bursts of electricity and flashes of lightning made the Martian sky seem filled with blinding blue light.
Valkery grinned with satisfaction. "If lightning is their weakness, then I'll make full use of it," she declared confidently. After confirming that the area was clear of threats, Valkery gathered the remains of the Mutant Havoc Spider to bring back to Earth.
This mission might not have been easy, but she had uncovered the enemy's weakness.
Valkery noticed that she had destroyed many Havoc Spider nests and felt it was enough since other areas seemed quite far and she was already out of energy.
After returning to Earth, Valkery received a warm welcome in the monitoring room due to her success in exterminating the Havoc Spiders.
