Chapter 25 - Regret Has Never Looked So Fluffy

The inside of the room seemed clean. – Cleaner than he left it this morning, that's for sure... Perhaps angels had something to do with having everything white and clean! – He had no idea if it even had some stereotypical behaviour.

He took a few small steps into the doorway, as to be able to close the door behind him. – His eyes roaming around the dorm room... He honestly hasn't seen it this clean in a good while. The fox was very bad at keeping things clean and tidy at that.

Tris began taking his shoes off swiftly, he disliked them anyway. At worst, he could literally turn himself into a small puffy fox. – Or, well, relatively small. To some it would be small, to some big! Depending on their own size, of course.

Step by Step, he went forward, his head perking lightly around the wall, looking into the small kitchen. – Ears flickering lightly as he stared right forward at the table, spotting the little blind folded lady, her head resting onto the table.

Nora seemed to be asleep, not like he could see her eyes in the end. And he was sure she wouldn't have been able to hear him. He's very sneaky! – Or that's what he thought. He wasn't really silent entering, but he hoped he didn't wake her up if anything.

It wasn't the fact that he would break her sleep. It was the fact that he would have to deal with her. That's the bad thing he would have regretted. – From all the fox knew, he would wake her up daily at any point just to get a laugh.

Then, she moved, stretching her arms on the table as she let out a loud yawn, reaching up to her head and pulling on the blindfold a bit up. – Her eyes were quite literally fixated on the fox. Perhaps she wanted to cook him into fox stew. – Wait, No! We need the fox!

Tris's ears flickered, blinking at her. – He is now regretting not spending more time with Fen and the others. – But what's the worst that can happen? – Probably a lot, but it is fine! He can deal with it. The only thing he cannot deal with is too many questions.

"We have homework to finish, they literally just updated the sites. I want to die."

Nora spat out, her head raising for a moment before hitting the table lightly, with a big, painful sigh. – And in the fox's brain, it clicked. The silence of all the dorms. – It was because of that alone. He was now regretting his existence.

"... Is arson an option? I could just sneak some runes inside the classes. Set a small trigger and just..."

The man spoke, giving a small sigh. Clearly bothered by what just happened. – He was willing to deal with anything, Dawn shard, demon, some god, some angel. But not homework. He would rather go through hell itself rather than do homework again.

"Be my guest, do it. The only issue is Althea would kick both of our asses the moment it happens. And probably take the scrolls and just break your whole plan. Any other questions, Fox boy?"

Nora spoke, clearly just as exasperated as Tris himself. – No one would want homework or paperwork a few days before needing to start school. – If anything, most teenagers wanted to sleep or go to some party. Or in this case, study how flight works!

"... I am regretting my life choices. I should have remained in the other world. – Being a bard is much easier than doing homework and attending high school...."

Tris spoke, giving a deep sigh as he walked over to the table, stretching himself as just hit his head on the table in the same manner Nora did, just internally screaming his lungs out. Hoping death would take him before school starts.

Nora went silent, just offering him a silent nod as she gave another sigh as well. This was one of the most painful things a high school student could experience. Before even school started! – Regret was there... Perhaps it would've been better to drop out.

"What type of homework did they even give us... Please tell me it is not that bad..."

The sly fox groaned audibly as he spoke out, having high hopes. – Or, well, as high hopes as he could have. It was still homework. It was still something he would rather let burn than do and have to rush days before school started.

"... Prepare yourself."

Nora spoke bluntly, then went silent, waiting for Tris to prepare himself for the information she was just about to spit out. – Meaning it's probably one of the worst things possible. Worse than the devil himself. Worse than Althea throwing you through a wall.

"... Speak, demon."

Tris spoke, his hands moving to the sides of his head, holding it. Ready to just bang his head on the table multiple times, and fast at that. He was not going to deal with the bad type. – If it really was that bad, he would rather just die.

"They.... Added a few more pages of math, biology. CHEMISTRY exercises. And physics...."

After speaking, she just pulled the blind fold onto her eyes and banged her head softly onto the table once more. – Even speaking about them should be considered some type of torture. Truly, torture of the highest degree.

Tris said nothing, his ears flickering once as he paused. Raising his head, he proceeded to just slam it into the table twice, then again. – Exhaling deeply as he just let out the painful groan of twenty generations.

White strings formed themselves into his features and tails as he just grabbed both tails and hugged them to his chest. – The fluffiness just covered his face as he let out another painful groan. This was the only way to get rid of anger without beating someone.

Though in this current moment, going out, breaking into the school, or into some apartments to beat the teachers or the website provider did not sound like a bad idea... Two broken legs could give them a few more weeks to work on the homework!

While the option was tempting, it was way too dependent on other things. – And he would surely be stopped by someone. Whether it be his mother, Fen or Rose. – They would never allow him to murder someone. – Unless he gave them an offer, probably.

If he gave them an offer, depending on what it was. – They might just give him a hand to do it. And developing an entire plan. – But he was not willing to offer them anything. – Mainly due to the fact that they would want his entire schedule to be filled with learning or something...

He would never allow something like that to happen. The price he places on his free time is high. Shall they want it? – He will fight them for it until death! The fox would never give it up for some random things, or even training in general. He does it when he wants to!

"... When are we starting..."

Tris spoke weakly, giving another sigh and groan. – He did not want to, but they had to start and just get it over with. – He knew Nora thought the same in the end. She probably just wanted to get it over with. Go visit her mother, go to the heavens and the such.

"You're asking me? I've been waiting for you for the past couple of hours! And you barely turned up now! Isn't that rude for a prince?! Should you not always be on time, hmmm? So rude!"

Nora spoke with a chuckle, giving a small sigh. – They did need to start soon. But they could just spend a bit more time messing with each other before doing such. – Take off some pressure before having to start on heavy work.

"Mmh. – Well, apologies, but I am not one to wear a crown... Nor one to give a fuck about royalty. – Unless it brings a certain benefit... Like more sleep!"

The tails wiggled in the air, escaping his grasp as he spoke with a chuckle. – He would have probably traded a golden crown for some more sleep... It is not like he couldn't spend a week creating a golden crown in the end! It would just... It would just be extremely painful.

"Mhmm, one good prince you are, I suppose! Come on, let us get going already. Chemistry has a project, I need to buy some baking soda..."

The blind folded lady spoke, just pulling the blindfold off and throwing it to the side, stretching into the air. Hopping up from the chair and rubbing her forehead, hitting her head on the table hurt. But it was worth it for the dramatic effect in the end!

"I'll create some, let's get going."

Tris gave a chuckle, hopping up as well and stretching his arms into the air as he began walking along to the drawers and the such, looking back at Nora as he simply awaited in silence... Time was ticking by like it was nothing.
