Bunny was now well-settled in Korea. She had made good friends, adjusted to the new lifestyle, and even picked up a bit of the language. Among her new friends, Somin had become her closest companion — caring, honest, and always looking out for her.
That afternoon, Bunny was casually lounging at home when her phone rang.
It was So-min.
So-min (over the call):
"Bunny… Aarav — I mean CEO — he's your boyfriend, right?"
Bunny (smiling):
"Yeah, of course. Why?"
So-min (hesitant):
"Then… what is he doing with another girl right now?"
Bunny (sitting upright):
"What? That can't be…"
So-min (serious tone):
"I just saw him. I was walking past the café near his office — he was sitting with a girl. I'm following them now… wait— where did they go?!"
Bunny (defensive but nervous):
"It must be work-related. Aarav wouldn't hide anything from me. I trust him."
So-min (softly):
"Maybe… but still, just thought you should know."
The call ended.
Bunny sat there, stunned.
She trusted Aarav. She believed in him.
But the seed of doubt… had been planted.

Bunny put her phone aside, her heart thudding in her chest.
She didn't want to doubt him — not Aarav, the man who had always made her feel like the center of his world. But still… why didn't he tell her?
She paced around the room.
> "Maybe it's nothing. Maybe it really was just work."
"But why wouldn't he mention meeting someone?"
She picked up her phone to call him… but paused.
Then put it down. Picked it up again. And sighed.

Later that night – Call between Aarav and Bunny
Aarav (cheerfully):
"Hey, love. How was your day?"
Bunny (trying to sound normal):
"Good… just the usual. Yours?"
Aarav:
"Hectic. Had some unexpected meetings. Barely got time to breathe."
Bunny (carefully):
"Anything important?"
Aarav:
"Hmm? Nah, just a few investor catch-ups. Nothing to worry about."
That was it. No mention of a girl. No details. Nothing.
Bunny (quietly):
"Okay…"
There was a pause.
Aarav noticed the shift in her tone.
Aarav:
"Bunny? You okay?"
Bunny (forcing a smile):
"Yeah. Just tired, I guess."
Aarav (softly):
"Get some sleep. I'll see you tomorrow, okay?"
Bunny:
"Hmm. Goodnight…"
The call ended.
Bunny stared at the ceiling.
She didn't want to believe So-min.
But why did this strange feeling in her chest… keep growing?
