The next day, the girls were hanging around in a stadium, Mio, Yuki, Rem and Lydia were all sitting on the lower seats together. They seemed to be extremely tired and frustrated "Ahhhh! My arms and back hurts!", Mio whined, Lydia replied "Tell me about it. It's like once you're in a life or death situation, the abilities you have seems to easy to use. But when you're trying to relax and get your reward from those missions, your body just brings all the pain it's been ignoring since you've been pushing it so hard.", Rem added "Yeah, I feel you.". Yuki then explained to them "Well to be fair, we all lost a ton of energy, and because of that, we had to walk hundreds of kilometres just to get back to the city.... at night!", Mio took a sigh "Oh screw this life. Either way, has anybody been paid yet?", Rem replied "Not sure, but lord Fugaku should pay us today.", Yuki sighed "Well, I still have alot of money with me from our previous missions, but still, getting payed early from the one of yesterday seems better.", Lydia replied "I know, right?". Regina then walked in on them "Hey, you guys.", Mio looked at her with a bright smile "Reginaaaa!", Regina waved back "Hey Mio. I see you all are tired. Still feeling the fatigue of yesterday's mission?", Rem, Lydia and Mio replied "Yes!", straight forward. Yuki then teased "Well, I seem to be the only one who has enough power to walk around and stuff", Mio turned her head to Yuki "Yuki, you eat your opponents from head to toe, offcourse you're feeling more energetic than the rest of us.". Regina called to their attention, her tone shifted to that of slight sadness "Um guys, Marallda and Gwen are in the hospital. I heard that their mission was extremely intense. Marallda is fine and awake, but Gwen isn't. Infact, she's in a worse condition than Marallda.", all the girls seemed to be shocked and worried. Thirty minutes later, Mio, Rem, Lydia and Regina were in the hospital with Marallda sitting straight on her bed and Gwen still unconscious. Marallda had a dry smile on her face as the rest of the girls stood and sat beside her "Thanks for coming to check up on me. But as for the mission.....", her face switched into a sad one "It was a mess. Most of the older soldiers and assassins around us were fighting stronger and more skilled opponents. Not just that, but giant beasts were all over the place. Our enemies were about a hundred in number, fifty of them were controlling beasts that would have killed most of us if we weren't prepared at all, the other fifty were trying to take advantage of our attention bring divided. We had to retreat.", Marallda turned to Gwen who was unconscious "Gwen had it the worst tho.". (FLASHBACK)Gwen was running around and dodging arrows made from yellow light, these arrows were causing huge explosions that were wiping out trees and destroying the ground. As Gwen was dodging for her life, she was also shooting bullets of energy at the spears shot at her, she was running, dodging and shooting with skill. While doing so, the assassin covered with black and yellow came flying at her with a spear of yellow light on her hand, she was ready to stab Gwen. Gwen used her gun to block the incoming stab, she found it extremely difficult "Tch! She's strong.", she muttered to herself before being pushed through multiple tree's. Gwen stood up after crashing through trees, she looked at her opponent who seemed to be a female that appeared to be the same age as her, the only thing was that this assassin was covered from head to toe with a black and yellow jump suit. Gwen thought to herself "This person is extremely skilled. Combat wise, she's incredible. Speed wise, she's deadly. Even with my speed limits broken with the help of the boosters I attached to my leg, it's still not enough.". Gwen drew out her sword and dashed towards her opponent "It doesn't matter, we have a mission, and it's to kill whoever is related to this hornets cult nonsense.", the assassin that was her opponent snapped her finger, this caused yellow spears of light to appear all over the place and on her hands. This assassin charged towards Gwen and started clashing with her, they were slicing trees apart with the slashes of their clash. Meanwhile, Marallda was fighting a group of assassins that were five in number and were also covered with a black and yellow jump suit, these assassins had their faces covered as well. They were attacking Marallda with huge chains and sword slashes, Marallda was just running and dodging their attacks non stop, she kept on spinning around and dodging every attack that came her way. This was an extremely chaotic fight for her, Marallda thought to herself "Fuck! I don't even have proper time to activate my gravity manipulation!", as she spaced out, one of the assassins jumped from behind and tried to slice her in half. Marallda noticed this and stumped her feet on the ground, the ground shot up and started wrecking everything around her. Her opponents were being pushed back and crushed, the trees around her were being wrecked, and other soldiers who were battling with beasts also got caught up in this rampage. Marallda thought to herself as the ground going on a ramage from her stump was going wild "With proper concentration, I can activate my gravity manipulation. Although with just a swift stump of my arms and feet, the power of the gravity wouldn't be too strong, nor would it last long.". Marallda's arms started to glow white "Gravity Manipulation: Gravity Bomb!", she called out her attack, purple and white balls of gravity started to appear all over the space around her. These orbs immediately shot themselves at lightning speeds and was destroying everything around her, mainly the enemy assassins and the giant beasts were being crushed and destroyed into nothing but blood. Marallda thought to herself "I can only use gravity manipulation to create orbs of gravity. I can also use it to suck and shape things around me.", she started to use one of her orbs to suck the ground in order to make the pieces of rocks the orbs had sucked into a sword made from the earth. She grabbed the sword "Alright, I've killed my opponents. I should go help Gwen.", she thought to herself. Suddenly, a huge bear that was the size of ten story building came from behind and slashed her. Marallda grosned in pain, turned around in anger and shot one of her gravity orbs at the bear, the bear immediately bursted into a mess of blood. Marallda started to breath heavily, more giant bears started to surround her, she grinned her teeth in anger as a strange purple and white aura started to surround her "You bastards.... GET AWAY!", she growled. Meanwhile a devastating explosion occurred at the place Gwen and her opponent were fighting at. Gwen's leg was injured, her right arm was burned terribly, and the right side of her head was bleeding. She pointed a gun at her opponent that stood on a huge rock while holding two yellow spears of light. Gwen was beat up, she thought to herself in this difficult state "I'm extremely low on energy, I can beraly stand. I want to collapse, but at the same time, I have to complete the mission!". Gwen's hand that was holding the gun was flinching, she exclaimed "I'm not going to lose to you! I'll defeat you.". The assassin rushed towards her and was ready to stab Gwen as soon as she saw that Gwen was about to pull the trigger. As this assassin was ready to stab Gwen with her spares, a bullet from above shot the assassin. Gwen was shocked, she looked above and saw Monoma standing on a circular mechanical board "Hey cuz! I'm here to save you.", he had a serious look on his face. He shot the assassin about ten more times, the assassin had to retreat into the bushes with her body bleeding. The rest of the other assassins from the hornets cult were retreating while still fighting the soliders and assassins from the city of Kagahara. Some of the beasts were killed and some of their tamers were captured as well. Marallda was surrounded with scattered body parts of the bears that came to attack her, she heard a yell from one of the other soldiers "RETREAT!", this was due to giant lion beasts appearing. All the soliders and assassins of Kagahara were running and retreating, she turned back in worry "Gwen! Where's Gwen?!", she thought to herself with worry and fear.
