Miranda's POV
A soft groan escaped my lips as I woke up from an unpleasant dream. My vision cleared and my eyes glanced at my surroundings.
I was in my room.
"What happened?" I rubbed my temple, not expecting an answer.
"You fainted," someone answered, and my heart skipped in fear. I turned sharply to my left and saw Dr. Collahan staring at me lazily, and behind him was Emily, whose eyes were red from crying.
Huh? Did someone die?
I raised an eyebrow, "I don't remember what happened before I blanked out,''
He nodded, then said, "I can see that." Then he turned to Emily, "The young lady will continue from here. I've given her strict instructions on what to do,''
He stood up and left.
I stared at Emily and wondered what had just happened.
"Young miss,'' Her formality frightened me.
"I thought we dropped that?" I frowned, but before I could sleep, she rushed forward and hugged me.
