Lopen
It didn't matter if my words scared Emmiel. All I wanted to do was to bring him to the reality he would be living from now.
The faster he came to terms with it, the lesser the probability or chance of him getting targeted by my enemies. Even if it was actually unavoidable.
"You puke at the sight of mutilated images" I say. "What would you do when you see it right infront of you? When you hear the cries and screams?"
"Forgive me for not—"
I banged my fist against the desk in annoyance; releasing my grip on his hair in the process. "I've told you times without numbers Emmiel. Stop doing things to be sorry for"
Letting out an exasperated sigh, I ruffled my hands through my hair. "You leave me no choice then. Come with me"
Walking out of my the room, I moved down to where all the workers were already gathered.
"Vassel!" I called out as he rushes up to me.
"Yes, alpha"
"Do we really not have any order to complete? Not even one?"
"I'm afraid not"
"Who tended to the last oder?" Vassel remains mute. This ticked me off. "Vassel, I don't have to remind you that I hate repeating myself now, do I?"
"Apologies, Alpha" He pleads. "The last order was taken care of by Blith"
Blith was one of our new recruit. He was a gamma. Based on ranks, jobs were assigned to each skillful members of the company.
Gammas were specifically reserved for guarding duties. To ensure a client who needs protection is well looked after. It was as easy as that.
Despite being a newcomer, Blith had picked up quick. He was one of the gamma guards I was thinking of recruiting into my mansion to oversee Emmiel's safety.
"So, what about it?" I probed further. "I'm sure Blith safely guarded the client"
"Actually…" Vassel's voice trailed off. "The client passed away under Blith's watch"
A gamma whom I had a hundred percent trust in had managed to fuck up. This oddly thrilled me.
My face breaks into a wide smile. Just when I was thinking of whom to make a perfect example to Emmiel, I find out that there was actually a dog in need of discipline.
"Vassel"
"Yes, alpha?"
"Bring Blith to me right this instant"
As Vassel scampers away to do as I'd commanded, I called a random worker. "Get me my gun and a wooden stick"
Few minutes later, the worker returns with my request. Turning to face Emmiel with my gun in hand, I asked. "Do you know what this is?"
He nods. "A gun"
I laughed. "I'm impressed you know what this is after being locked up in that shank hole for years"
"Have you ever held a gun before, Emmiel?"
He shakes his head. "I've only seen it in dramas"
Extending the gun towards him, I asked. "Do you want to hold it? Or does it scare you? It's not loaded you know—not yet, anyways—"
Before Emmiel could make a decision, Vassel had returned with Blith.
"Alpha Lopen!" Blith gasped. "Welco—"
I cut him off with a smack across his cheeks. "You must be thrilled to see me Blith but the reverse is the case for me"
Moving away from him, I moved to where I usually stacked my bullets, inserted 1 into a random hole from the 5 and approached Blith.
"I heard about your mishap regarding the last order you handled, Blith" I informed.
"I can explain, Alpha Lopen"
"I've heard enough" I concluded. Actually, I didn't want to hear anything Blith had to say to redeem himself.
All I wanted to do was to show Emmiel what was expected from him as my business partner.
Handing the gun over to Emmiel, I chide. "Take it" He does so without questions.
Good. Emmiel must have gotten used to the fact that I didn't like to repeat myself twice.
"There are five holes and one bullet has been randomly placed into those bullet holes" I explained. "That means, Blith has 4 chances to live but three rounds and those chances are in your hands"
"W-What?" Emmiel stuttered. "Please, I can't do this"
"You can and you will, Emmiel" I correct. "After you get through this, you'll see it will get easier"
Emmiel shakes his head in tears. "I promise not to go against you, Alpha Lopen but please don't make me do this. Please"
Whisking off the gun from his hands in annoyance, I snarled. "Fine. Geez. Stop being a crybaby all the time"
Tossing the gun at Blith, I clarified. "Aim the gun at your head and shoot yourself. Like I told you, you have 4 chances to live but three rounds. Go on"
With shaky hands, Blith aims the gun at his head and pulls the trigger. Nothing happened.
"Two rounds left" I announced. Turning to face Emmiel, I ordered. "Keep your eyes wide open on him. Watch how he pulls the trigger of a gun. This is how you discipline dogs"
"Alpha Lopen but I—"
"I don't remember giving you permission to speak, Blith" I warned, sternly. "If you survive the next two rounds then I'll listen to whatever you have to say. Now, pull the trigger"
Blith takes in deep breathes. Shutting his eyes tightly as he pulled the trigger once more. Nothing happened.
"Now, this is getting boring" I chimed in. "For the last round, put the gun into your mouth instead"
Blith nods, doing as I'd instructed him to. He pulls the trigger as a loud firing sound rings out.
Blith's lifeless body crashes to the floor with blood stain all over the floor. "Vassel, burn his body"
"Understood, Alpha"
Whisking my blood-soaked gun from Blith's lifeless body, I hand it over to Emmiel. "Would you like to practice how to shoot a gun? There are still three more bullets in"
Emmiel's eyes widened. "Three more bullets? I thought you said there was only one bullet in"
I shrugged. "I lied"
"You intended to kill Blith in the first place?"
"I like to think it as; I never intended to forgive him in the first place" I correct. "Like I said, dogs needs to be disciplined"
