It was 7:55am on Monday morning, the hallway was busy, lockers were heard being slammed shut as students rushed to meet up with class.
Alex was leaning on the locker beside Mari as the latter searched vigorously for her history textbook.
"I swear it was here on Friday", said Mari as started muttering some curses under her breadth.
"You aren't even helping"
"What do you want me to do, you didn't tell me what your looking for when I asked"
Huffing she turned to look at her best friend who returned a smile "your sharing your history book with me"
"It's all yours, I plan on sleeping during class", Mari gasped at her friend.
"What.... school isn't for me", Alex shrugged.
"Let's go", Mari closed her locker then dragged Alex to class.

Truth be told Alex did sleep through out history class.
"I can't believe you slept through history class", Mari hissed.
"I did tell you I would, didn't I"
"Who enjoyed today's history class cause I did", asked Cleo.
"It was boring as always", said Hannah.
"Fallen angel is an interesting history", said Mari.
"Well is boring to me", Hannah replied.
"Hey", Liv whispered. "That's the new girl I talked about", Liv said making the girls to turn to look at the girl opposite the hallway. She was talking to a group of girls at her locker side, well it was more like they were trying to talk to her why she ignored them.
"Jasmine", Alex said with surprise etched in her voice. Jasmine turned with wide eyes upon hearing the voice.
"Ally", Jasmine yelled causing the students in the hallway to look at them.
"Please don't call me that", Alex winced making Jasmine to pout.
"But Ava calls you that"
"She's five your... sixteen ", Alex said looking her up and down.
"Am seventeen "
"Same thing"
"It's not"
"You guys know each other" asked Cleo.
"Yes", Jasmine replied she had a proud smile on her pretty face. Mari noted that she behaved much like Arielle.
"How", asked Liv.
"Cousins", said Alex.
"Cousins", Hannah choked out.
"Are you serious ", Mari asked.
"I thought we looked alike", whined Jasmine.
"You wish", Alex said.
"Mean... this is why Ari is my favorite"
"Thought it was Amelia "
"Same thing ", then they both glared at each other.
A gasp was heard making everyone turn to the source "Jazzy babyyour here", Arielle said giving Jasmine a tight hug.
"I missed you so much"
"Me too"
"Mum and dad didn't tell me you guys lived here", Jasmine said.
"Well now you know", Alex said and Mari nudged her "what....she's a pain in the heart"
"No am not, am an angel, right Ari"
"Sure you are", Ari said pinching her cheeks.
Jasmine smacked her hands away "so were all late for our next class", she said making them look around their empty hallway.
"I got free passes", said Cleo.
"Fake free passes", Hannah clarified.
"Don't say that out loud", hissed Cleo.

Alex, Arielle, Mari and Jasmine were all currently in Alex SUV. Cleo, Hannah and Liv had already gone home while them are going to an ice cream shop. Apparently Jasmine behaved like a five year old but with bigger tantrum.
They reached the ice cream palace after an hour, it was located on the outskirts of Crescent fall around the beach side and it was the best and expensive in town.
A few people were already in the shop mostly kids, they all went to sit at the booth in the far corner of the window side.
A waiter came to take their orders down with the name tag 'Ben'
"Welcome to sweet tooth, what can I get you"
"I want a beautiful giant sundae with all your best flavours and toppings you have please", Jasmine said with a toothy grin. she was bouncing up and down with excitement.
"Someone's going to have a brain freeze", muttered Alex.
"No am not, am immune"
"You getting anything", Alex asked Mari.
"I will have a neapolitan with sprinkles", Mari said.
"I want a banana split", Ari said
"What of you Miss", the waiter asked
"A vanilla chocolate chip ice cream", said Alex "and also five slices of cheese cakes...
"And cream donut", Jasmine piped in.
Rolling her eyes at her cousin "and cream donuts", she sighed.
"That will be a hundred and ten Miss", the waiter said jotting it down.
"Sure", Alex said and the waiter left.
Jasmine looked out the window and sighed seeing the waves crash against each other.
"No one comes to the beach", Jasmine said noting the emptiness at the beach.
"The sea is usually freezing cold and the shore is some times moist, people only come here for the view, to eat or lounge at a hotel", said Mari.
"That's a shame the ocean is really beautiful", Jasmine sighed.
"It is", Mari agreed.
"So are you going for the hockey game tonight", asked Arielle.
"There's going to be one", asked Mari.
"Yeah you didn't hear, it's a home game against St. Patrick's academy", said Arielle.
"I bet a thousand dollars that st. Patrick's will win", Jasmine said stretching out her hands to Alex.
Alex raised an eyebrow at that, Arielle laughed while Mari gave a smirk.
"Our school is the best at hockey in the whole of Crescent fall, your going to so loose the bet", Mari said.
"We will see about that", Jasmine said now the one with a smirk. "So...deal"
"Whatever", Alex said.
"Great.....ooh it's here", Jasmine said clapping excitedly as the waiter set the tray down "oh my gawd it's so heavenly in person", Jasmine said drooling over the sight of her ice cream. Then she looked at the girls ice cream and asked "are you guys going to finish that"
"You haven't even touched yours yet", Mari said.
"Cause it looks small in person", Jazzy whined.
Alex called the waiter back and asked "can I have another sundae"
"Sure thing Miss",the waiter said, bowed and left.
The waiter returned back with another sundae causing a huge smile on Jazzy face.
"Thank you "
After they were down eating, Alex paid and they left.
"It's already five, why don't we go back to school the match starts at six", said Arielle and they all agreed.

"Hey, I've missed you", Noah said pecking Mari on her forehead making her to blush.
"I missed you too"
"Wasn't expecting me to be here huh", Mari punched him at his shoulders
"Ouch..sorry....it's just you hardly ever come", his statement made her feel guilty.
"Sorry about that it's just that...
"Don't worry I understand", this made Mari to smile "now that your here I hope am getting a good luck kiss before the game", he said at the same time the coach called them over.
Mari shooked her head at him with a smile then gave him a short sweet kiss "good luck", she whispered.
"I love you", Noah said with a huge grin.
"I love you too"
"See you after the game", Noah wore his helmet and blew a kiss at her and ran to join his teammates.
"Remind me never to be your cheprone", Alex said from behind the bleachers.
"Suck it up", Mari said and dragged her up the bleachers.
"I do not appreciate being dragged", Alex said.
"You're not supposed to"

The match has been on for the past fifty minutes with both schools not winning, it was really intense and rough. people were practically sitting at the edge of their sits in anticipation.
St. Patrick's is a new school, started two years ago, and this was their first ever game with crescent high. They were all humans which made it more confusing that they could catch up with the players of Crescent high.
There are rumors that there really good.
"Gosh are the matches always this intense", Mari asked she was scared for Noah having an injury since he has fallen twice now.
"Sometimes but today's match is really different", said Cleo. Her, Hannah and Liv had come back to school for the match.
Indeed it was, they've never seen humans this agile it was like they had the strength of a werewolf. Mari turned to look round then spotted Jasmine sitting beside Alex who was asleep despite the noise, she was the only one who looked happy and Mari found that weird.
Before you know it in the brink of an eye, St. Patrick's academy scored a goal, their school shouted with joy while that of crescent high groaned in frustration it was only twenty minutes remaining.
Mari turned and saw that jazzy looked pleased with the results, she was smiling, no scratch that she was laughing. Mari smelt the air 'She smelt human', Mari thought. 'So does Alex', her subconscious told her 'whats going on', Mari was so confused but then she remembered the conversation with Alex when they went for a bathroom break.

"I didn't know you had a cousin", Mari said washing her hands.
"Everyone has a cousin", Alex laughed at that.
"Whatever but I've never seen a picture of her before"
"She's my second cousin, grandma's elder sister married a man from Hotchburg and had children who had her...if that makes sense to you", said Alex wiping her hands with a towel.
"Yeah it does", Mari muttered.

Hotchburg. That's one of the cities made around crescent fall that are filled with supernaturals but its known to be more of a witches sanctuary since lots of them are there.
'Could jazzy be a witch, well half witch actually since Alex is human', she thought. 'But why can't I smell her' , then she remembered Hannah telling her there's a spell that witches use to throw people of their scent 'Maybe that's what she did'.
Mari looked at her friends and realized she's the only one who noticed this, while her friends gaze were solely fixed on the game with a somber mood she turned back to Jasmine and found she was already looking at her. Mari panicked for a second that she was caught staring but Jazzy just smiled and shrugged then turned back to watch the game. 'what just happened', she thought but she couldn't dwell on it further cause she heard her friends screaming, she turned to look at them and also noticed the whole school standing and screaming, eventually crescent high had scored a goal.
The match was a tie, since it was thirty seconds remaining and none of the teams scored a goal. Some parents and students started leaving while some went down the bleachers to congratulate the team.
"How could you sleep with all this noise", Mari asked waking Alex up.
"I have my ways", Alex said then yawned "where are the rest", she asked looking round for them.
"Their down with the team"
"Who won"
"It's a tie"
"A tie", Alex said not hiding the surprise in her voice "that's a first", she muttered.
"Where's Jasmine"
"Left immediately after the game ended, I don't think she enjoyed the outcome of the game", said Mari.
"Huh...", Alex thought then shrugged "she will find her way home", she said and stood up. Mari gawked at her best friend.
"What"
"What if she gets lost or hurt even"
"She can handle herself plus she definitely called her driver to pick her up", Alex said making Mari to mutter a silent 'oh', sometimes she forgets that Alex family is too rich.
"Shall we", Alex asked and Mari nodded. Then they went down the bleachers to greet the team.
"Hey guys, you did great", Mari yelled to the team. Jason stared at Alex who was oblivious and was playing video games on her phone as always.
"Hey do you mind if we talk", Jason asked Alex
"How about tomorrow maybe in the afternoon", Alex replied not removing her gaze from her phone.
"Sure tomorrow then...I... Will text you", stuttered Jason but was ignored.
There was an awkward silence for a few seconds.
"Okkkkk", he drawled awkwardly and carried his stuffs and left.
"You did well my love", Mari said spotting Noah and giving him a pack on the cheek.
"You know I felt your fear through the bond. You shouldn't be, you know that I will always be here"
"I know, sorry I was scared I couldn't help seeing you fall like that", Mari said. Noah hugged her and stroke her hair.
"Don't be"
"Enough with the sappy romance am hungry", whined Cleo.
"Who's up for pizza", asked Hannah the girls agreed with some of the guys too. They all went down to the pizza hut close to school, ate and chatted away till ten in the night and finally went home.

Mari laid on her bed and pondered on the event of the day. Her mind drifted back to Jasmine.
"She was happy at first", she whispered to herself "why"
'why did I feel like she used magic during the match's 'Cleo did say today's match was different and she was weirdly happy' , her thoughts swirled round her till she slept off.
