Chapter 6 - New skills, shop upgrade, stats, and cultivation!

The disciples celebrated as Sigurd stood high, his head raised proudly.

Soon, he turned around, disappearing from the scene alongside Dundar's spirit.

Meanwhile, Justin's cultivation was soaring, halting at the Element Seeding stage.

Suddenly, his vision changed as the elements appeared before his eyes.

A fist-sized orb floated in the air, containing five elements.

Darkness and light swirled around each other, while metal shards spun slowly at the center.

Flames flickered along the surface, and lightning sparked in and out.

'Five?!' Justin was stunned; the phenomenon confirmed his suspicions.

One element was normal, two marked a genius, three meant a prodigy, and anything beyond was unheard of.

He always thought his 'Body Refining' was strange, especially since it boosted his stats by fifty.

But now, he believed in the system.

It wasn't just raising his cultivation, it was pushing him far beyond!

His realization made him excited, boosting his courage by leaps and bounds.

He believed he was qualified to take on some of the Soul Realm experts.

Hell, he thought he could easily defeat them with his techniques.

However, the Immortal Realm ones, like Sigurd, were different.

He knew escaping was much better than fighting.

[Congrats, your cultivation has risen to Core Forging, and you've earned 45 stat points!]

Finally, the notification's sound shook him.

He blinked, finding himself in reality with a different notification at hand.

[Congrats on becoming a Chaos Adept!]

—Your physique's elemental resistance has increased by 200%.

—The shop was upgraded to level two, adding five more items.

—1x Minor Ascension Pack was added to your inventory!

—New skills unlocked: Midas Touch and False Bestowal

"Neat!" He exclaimed upon reading the notification, extremely content with his first upgrade.

He stood up, intending to check on the changes later.

"Oh, you are still here..." He turned around, facing Eric once again.

He remembered his promise; however, placing the techniques inside the sect's library was his primary goal.

"When can we start, master?!" Eric shouted excitedly as Justin grumbled internally.

He didn't want to deal with this, he only accepted guiding the boy for the benefits.

"How about now? Let's start with a million push-ups!" Justin suggested, knowing cultivators could do much more.

However, he didn't care. His purpose was to buy himself some time.

"Yes!" Eric shouted and began immediately, albeit extremely fast for a human being.

Justin frowned, wishing this world had weights to burden Eric.

He rubbed his hair, thinking of something convenient for the time.

However, this didn't last long as the situation solved itself.

Eric was tiring himself out, his dying speed was the best proof.

"Pathatic! How dare you call yourself a cultivator with such low stamina?!"

Justin immediately took advantage of the solution, stinging Eric with his words.

"Start over every time you fail, and eventually you shall achieve success."

He gave his final order before waving his hands.

He skipped the stairs, reaching the edge before jumping down, as it was quite fast.

This was the left side of the sect, where the storage and library were located.

Both were equally guarded and had unique banners, which made distinguishing between them easy.

As such, he walked to the library, holding his hands behind his back.

The majority knew him, making his plan easier.

Stepping inside, he took the stairs to the second floor immediately.

The sect had a decent number of manuals, reaching about twenty on the first floor and about fifty on the second.

The first floor contained cultivation manuals, and the second contained combat manuals.

Looking around, Justin felt excited.

There were no Mystic grade manuals, meaning he had no competitions.

He knew the moment he added his manuals, the disciples would flock to them before anything else.

Half an hour passed, and Justin was done.

Five new manuals were added, three were Mystic grade, and two were Heaven grade.

"Finally!" He exclaimed, believing he did great.

These were so detailed compared to the majority that even donkeys could learn them.

However, even such donkeys need talents that match the manuals.

Moving on, Justin left the library with a copy of the manuals he had made.

He returned home, glancing at Eric before entering his abode.

It seemed like he took Justin's words seriously, practicing diligently.

Meanwhile, Justin opened his status, scattering 145 points across his stats.

"Oh dear, how amazing am I?!" He exclaimed, his stats making him grin like a fool.

He rested on his bed, thinking about the best method to benefit from the manuals he had.

Yes, he gave a bunch of copies to the sect. However, killing was not allowed inside.

It was a great way to farm experience and chaos charges.

But at this rate, his inventory would remain the same.

Slacking around and waiting for trouble to visit the sect was out of the question.

Justin was greedy, and his inner demon was greedier, disallowing him such luxury.

"I guess a restaurant?" He muttered, intending to visit the nearest city.

His primary target was an auction or a merchant, but he needed information.

Cultivators didn't need food to survive; however, special types of food granted them decent benefits.

Additionally, restaurants were places where others sought or exchanged information.

Having Ironheart's memories, Justin knew that Auctions and restaurants could be far more dangerous than his world.

He could have used the sect's information, but how could he refuse such a delicacy?!

Troubles equalled benefits after all!

Finally, he left the sect with his sword.

Heading west, towards the Cloud Veil city.
