Chapter 8 - Snobby Noble

Fifteen minutes passed, and Justin was done feasting.

His stomach bragged as a horrific noise escaped his mouth.

Some looked at him angrily, yet none dared to complain after witnessing the recent tragedy.

The servant returned with the informant, took the empty dishes, and allowed them privacy.

It was an average-looking, tall woman in similar attire to the servant.

"Please ask away, sir!"

She exclaimed, eagerly waiting for his questions.

"Who is the richest merchant in this city?"

"That would be Daniel Varalis, the patriarch of the biggest family in this city."

"Are there any places devoted to alchemy in this city?"

"Of course, there is the Mystic Tower and the Jade Pavilion. The former is larger, cheaper, and busier. While the latter is smaller, quieter, and much more expensive."

"May you write me the address of the Varalis family and the Mystic Tower?"

"Of course, sir. It will be done by the time you finish your dessert."

"Thank you, you may leave." Having all of the information he needed, Justin dismissed the informant.

He retrieved the sword he had, planning to use it.

It aroused his curiosity, wondering what defects would happen.

[1000 Chaos Charges were consumed, (Silver Sword) was upgraded to Legendary!]

+80 Strength => +170 Strength

65 Durability => 30 Durability

3000 Qi Capacity => 1200 Qi Capacity

He smiled, returning the sword to his inventory.

He prayed, believing the sword would shatter if its Qi capacity was exceeded.

He planned to use it as a gift in return for spreading his manuals.

He knew he would be caught red-handed if such a thing were discovered beforehand.

'Hmm? I guess I will have to make an excuse.' He nodded his head after thinking for a while.

Worst case scenario, he just needed to make up some bullshit to convince them.

As for the pill, he intended to use it to wreck the Mystic Tower.

He didn't care whether it was busy or not.

The moment the pill came out was the moment he would give him maximum priority.

If the Mystic Tower was as large as the informant claimed, then such an incident would heavily damage their reputation.

Hurting and killing people was not his only option.

But were these the best? He couldn't know until he had experimented more.

Once done with the letters, Justin took the addresses and left the restaurant.

He continued on his way south until he reached the tower, witnessing two long lines of cultivators queuing in front of the windows.

He went to the one on the left side, walked by the line, and casually took the first place.

"What the hell? You can't do this!"

"Who do you think you are? Get back in line!"

"Heh, leave him alone. He will only get banned this way."

The riot began as the ones in Justin's line began shouting.

He knew he was disrespectful, yet they didn't dare to deal with him on their own.

Thus, it ended it boosting his courage and cockiness rather than scaring him.

"Will you ban me, or will you take me to one of your superiors?" Justin leaned on the wall, placing the pill in front of the worker.

He was sneering at Justin's behavior a moment ago.

But now his eyes were about to pop up.

"How could I?! Please follow me, esteemed guest!" The worker spoke, leaving his spot to someone else.

He left the window before urging Justin to follow him.

They arrived at their destination a moment later, inside the building itself.

"Please take a seat," The elder welcomed Justin, an old man with a long, white beard and hair.

"Let's get to business, how much are you paying for this precious?" Justin sat down, handing the pill over.

"Heavens! Where did you get this from?!" The elder exclaimed.

He brought it close to his eyes, inspecting it from different angles.

It was a common pill available everywhere, but its grade and purity were over the top.

While the common version was cheap, he believed this one would make them a fortune.

"It was given as a gift; however, I do not need it." Justin leaned on the chair, acting mighty and bright.

"Very well, you've come to the right place." The elder placed the pill on the table.

"I will pay you a hundred jades in advance, and fifty percent of the overall profit!" He continued, but Justin wasn't satisfied.

"Unfortunately, no," Justin responded, bringing out five hundred spirit jades from his inventory.

"As you see, I'm a little bit too rich. So, how about resources instead?" He flashed the elder with his wealth before retrieving the jades.

"Whatever suits you," The elder responded with a grin, surprised that the deal went in an unexpected direction.

"Although we can't produce the same quality, we can pay in bulk. How about three hundred refined pills and two hundred unique pills?" He continued, raising five of his fingers.

"That is great, but it depends on whether I get to choose or not," Justin muttered, acting bored.

The deal was perfect for him since he thought he would only leave with a hundred pills.

He acted bored to push the elder further, in a way that fit his plan.

"Of course, that is natural!" The elder nodded his head repeatedly as Justin grinned internally.

With everything agreed on, the elder led the way.

Soon, they arrived at the main storage, where most of the pills were stored.

There were a couple of sections separating the grades, and a couple more separating the types.

A few minutes passed, and Justin was done selecting what he wanted.

A hundred unique pills for himself and a hundred for the sect, all of various types.

The remaining three hundred were for the sect and the Varalis, aimed at spreading his chaos.

Finally, he left the Mystic Tower, heading to his next destination.

"Here comes the heroes," He muttered sarcastically, witnessing some unwanted company.

They didn't approach him, only spied on him.

"They look angry," He smiled brightly, taunting them with his middle finger before continuing on his way.
