The dog transformed into a formidable, otherworldly beast, blending humanoid and lupine features into a distinctively menacing form. Standing upright, its muscular, well-defined body is coated in sleek black fur—or perhaps shadow-like armor—accentuating its imposing silhouette.
The creature's head evokes a jackal or wolf, complete with glowing red eyes and a mouth bristling with sharp fangs, reminiscent of mythological figures like Anubis. Prominent claws extend from its hands and feet, while jagged, dark protrusions jut from its body, hinting at offensive or defensive adaptations.
Digitigrade legs and a long, flowing tail amplify its agile, predatory aura. Overall, the creature exudes an intimidating presence, suggesting it could serve as a high-tier demon, guardian, or apex predator within a dark fantasy or supernatural realm.
"Whoa, cool. You look strong, you know," Raidon said to the dog-like creature, who simply stared at him, still recognizing the stranger who had once given him food when he was hungry on the island.
"I feel stronger. Is this how you feel every day? I saw you lifting those heavy things that always shattered the ground when you let them go," the dog said to Raidon.
"I don't know… I guess?" Raidon replied, unsure of what the dog was referring to.
"Hey, want to have your name?" Raidon asked, realizing he had been referring to the creature without a proper name. Now that it could speak, it was becoming harder to keep calling it "the dog."
"Yes," the dog immediately replied without much thought.
"Well, how about Lycao? It was based on the name of the Fruit you just ate," Raidon said towards the dog that was standing in front of him.
"I love it, thank you, master," the dog said towards Raidon, grateful for his name.
"Don't call me master, you are my friend, not a pet, you could call me Raidon," Raidon said. not wanting Lycao to treat him as a superior but as a friend, like Chopper from the crew of Luffy.
"Yes, Raidon," Lycao said, appreciating Raidon's treatment of him being equal.
------------
After confirming that Lycao had not eaten the Ice Dragon Devil Fruit, Raidon immediately consumed it. Unlike the Ink-Ink Fruit he had eaten earlier, this one left a cool, menthol-like sensation in his mouth.
"Whoa, I can feel the cold it can generate," Raidon remarked as he accidentally froze the entire room aboard Garp's warship. Lycao, affected by the sudden chill, exhaled fire just to stay warm. Realizing what was happening, Raidon quickly stopped, attempting to control the icy powers granted by the Zoan Devil Fruit.
After several minutes of effort, Raidon managed to get a handle on the ability, though not as effortlessly as he had with the Ink-Ink Fruit. Gradually, he began reversing the frost, absorbing all the ice he had produced. At first, it was slow, but soon the absorption accelerated until the room was completely restored, with no trace of the freezing incident remaining.
'System, can you generate my current stats?' Raidon thought, wanting to look at his current system stats, curious about the changes that had happened.

Raidon, after reviewing his complete stats, couldn't help but marvel—he was overpowered now. All he needed was to refine his Haki and train more. He knew he had to keep fighting until he became the strongest there is.
After making a mental note of his plans, Raidon and Lycao stepped out of the room and immediately noticed Garp sleeping in his chair, with Bogard quietly reading a newspaper beside him.
"Yo, Bogard, why is Garp sleeping? It's a great day, isn't it?" Raidon asked, even if already familiar with Garp's habits, ones he had apparently passed down to his grandsons. He recalled the time Garp and Luffy fell asleep while confronting each other, and Ace dozed off while eating on Buggy's ship.
"That's just how he is. You'll get used to it. We still have three days of travel before arriving at our destination," Bogard replied, shifting his attention to the dog beside Raidon. He noticed that the dog looked different than when he first saw it.
As Raidon looked at Garp, he silently thanked him for the spar they had. It was exactly what he needed to push his Conqueror's Haki to the next level, bringing him one step closer to his dream. Lost in thought, he reached into his coat and pulled out one of the Devil Fruits he had obtained earlier, the Tori Tori no Mi, model: Vermillion Bird, remembering that Garp had been defeated by the Blackbeard pirates since he was weaker than his prime when fighting against them.
With this Devil Fruit, Garp would get even stronger, as the Devil Fruit would enhance his body, with the healing ability of Vermillion Bird, it would ensure that Garp's old injuries that did not heal properly from his years of fighting would slowly heal. But the problem is whether he would want to eat a Devil Fruit; in his whole career of being a marine, it's impossible that Garp hadn't found any strong Devil Fruits that he could eat, but Garp refused to eat any.
While Raidon was lost in thought, Garp suddenly woke up and noticed the Devil Fruit in Raidon's hands. Curious, he wondered who it was meant for. His gaze then shifted to Lycao, who sat quietly beside Raidon, staring at Garp with a knowing expression. Garp couldn't help but acknowledge the intensity behind the stare.
"Oi, brat, did you do something to this dog? Why's he looking at me like that?" Garp asked, snapping Raidon out of his thoughts.
"Oh, he ate a Devil Fruit I gave him. It lets him talk to humans and transform into this," Raidon replied.
Understanding the cue, Lycao shifted into his transformed state—a large, imposing wolf, now even larger than before, thanks to the spacious room.
Garp narrowed his eyes, clearly sensing the power radiating from Lycao.
The dog now had a presence stronger than some Vice Admirals stationed at Marine Headquarters. Garp couldn't help but wonder where Raidon was getting these Devil Fruits. Raidon already had one that let him create full-strength clones and formidable constructs—and now, his companion had a fruit of that caliber too. Then there was the one Raidon still held in his hand.
"Who's that for?" Garp asked, eyeing the Devil Fruit in Raidon's hands, clearly curious about its intended recipient.
"It's for you—as a thank you for helping me reach the next level of my strength," Raidon said, casually tossing the Devil Fruit toward Garp. "Plus, I want to fight you again, when we're both stronger."
Garp caught the fruit but frowned, looking back at Raidon. "I don't like Devil Fruits. They'd just limit me—I wouldn't be able to swim freely anymore." He raised his hand to toss it back, but Raidon stopped him.
"You don't need to worry about that," Raidon said. "That's the Tori Tori no Mi, Model: Vermillion Bird. You'd be able to transform into a bird and fly."
That detail piqued Garp's interest, but he still looked unconvinced.
"Still not interested. Eating a Devil Fruit would just give me a weakness." Garp was firm, but Raidon had one more card to play—something he had just thought of.
"Well, if you eat it, you'll be able to fly," Raidon repeated.
"So?" Garp asked flatly.
"Meaning you could go wherever you want, fast. Say, if you want to visit your grandsons and be back before the Fleet Admiral even notices? No one could stop you."
The mention of his grandsons struck a chord. Garp narrowed his eyes, weighing the offer more seriously now.
"Come on, just eat it. It's a mythical Devil Fruit, you know!" Raidon said, grinning. "It's like the Tori Tori no Mi, Model: Phoenix—the one Marco has—but with even hotter flames. Come on, eat it already!" He was practically acting like a devil himself, tempting Garp into doing something reckless.
Garp glanced at the fruit again... then took a bite.
Raidon's grin widened.
Bogard, meanwhile, stared in stunned silence. Garp had always rejected Devil Fruits—every time. Why now?
Then, as if on cue, Garp suddenly let out a blast of fire so intense it threatened to engulf the entire warship. The heat shimmered violently across the deck.
Bogard immediately reached for his sword—but before he could act, Raidon raised his hand.
With a deep breath, he activated his newly acquired power from the Ice Dragon Devil Fruit. A wave of frost spread across the deck, freezing everything in a flash—but skillfully avoiding the Marine crew. The flames were neutralized in seconds, leaving the deck steaming and glistening with thin frost.
"So, what made you decide to eat it? Was it my amazing persuasion skills... or your grandsons?" Raidon asked casually, ignoring the stares from the surrounding Marines, likely stunned by his ice powers, reminiscent of a Marine Admiral's.
"It was calling to me," Garp replied, his tone thoughtful. "It whispered in my ear. I guess this Devil Fruit was meant for me. They say Zoan Fruits, especially Mythical ones, have a will of their own."
Raidon's eyes widened slightly in understanding. So, Garp hadn't avoided Devil Fruits because of weakness or pride—but because none had felt right until now. Maybe this version of events differed from the canon One Piece timeline, but Raidon didn't care. What mattered was that Garp now possessed an ability opposite his own—perfect for their next battle—and it might even be what saves him in the future against the Blackbeard Pirates.
Suddenly, Garp laughed loudly as he transformed into a massive flaming bird, his wings radiating intense heat as he soared into the sky, reveling in his newfound freedom. Raidon simply smiled and conjured crystalline ice wings from his back, taking off after him. Within seconds, he caught up, flying beside Garp, who was still laughing in exhilaration, adjusting to the Vermillion Bird form.
Garp could feel it—his strength returning. It was as if the fruit had reversed the effects of age itself, bringing back the raw power of his prime.
"Want to test your new abilities, Hero of the Marines?" Raidon asked, a confident grin on his face. Nothing honed Devil Fruit mastery better than real combat.
"Sure, why not?" Garp replied, charging his fists with a blend of Armament and Conqueror's Haki. Flames erupted from his arms as he tapped into his Devil Fruit's power. In response, Raidon transformed his entire arm into solid ice, mimicking Aokiji's style, and infused it with Advanced Armament and Advanced Conqueror's Haki. The air trembled as both prepared their strikes.
"SUPERNOVA DIVIDE!" Garp roared—an evolved version of Galaxy Divide, now empowered by searing flames that intensified its destructive force.
"ICE DRAGON FIST!" Raidon countered, soaring toward Garp. His technique, inspired by Ace's Fire Fist, was reinforced with haki and carried explosive force. The impact of his icy punch mirrored the fire-based original, except instead of fire, a towering wall of ice formed mid-air, solidifying without anything to freeze.
Their attacks collided, red and blue energies clashing in a spectacle reminiscent of the legendary battle between Akainu and Aokiji. The force hurled both fighters into the sea.
"Ice Age," Raidon whispered, channeling his Devil Fruit's full power. A massive shockwave of cold erupted outward, freezing the ocean across a 5-kilometer radius down to the seafloor, a full kilometer deep. As the newly formed glacial platform stabilized, both warriors landed atop it, standing ready—this time, for a Devil Fruit-enhanced showdown.
