After seeing that Raidon woke up, the dog nudged its head towards Raidon's arms, as if asking to be pet, which Raidon obliged, as he was an animal lover from his previous life. While petting the dog, Raidon then called out to his system to see if there were any changes in his stats, as he could feel that he was a lot stronger than before, possibly being able to defeat Garp in an all-out brawl without using any haki.

He had already decided—he would consume the Ice Dragon Devil Fruit first. It was an irresistible fusion of traits from his two favorite One Piece characters: Aokiji and Kaido. The fact that it was immune to seawater only made the decision easier.
Upon receiving Raidon's command, the system promptly manifested the Devil Fruits. However, before Raidon could act, the dog at his side suddenly lunged forward and devoured one of them, mistaking the gesture as a reward for faithfully guarding his master while he slept.
"WHAT!!!" Raidon yelled, panicking as he thought that the Dog had just eaten the Devil Fruit that he was thinking of eating.
"Spit it out! Come on, don't swallow it!" Raidon shouted, trying to shake the eaten Devil Fruit from the dog, much like how Shanks once did with Luffy when he ate the Gomu Gomu no Mi. Raidon didn't realize he could've just checked with the system to identify the fruit. But like with Luffy, it was too late.
The dog instinctively bowed his head, apologizing while somehow speaking to Raidon.
"I'm sorry I ate the fruit without asking," the dog said, unaware he was speaking aloud. He kept repeating the apology until Raidon suddenly stopped and asked,
"Wait… are you talking?"
The question made the dog pause, finally realizing he was communicating with actual words, not just intent.
"Huh? How can I talk?" the dog asked.
"Because you ate a fruit that gives you abilities," Raidon replied. "Can you feel anything? Do you know what power you got?"
He still hadn't checked the system to confirm which Devil Fruit the dog had eaten.
