In the office, Ms Heidi fanned herself. It really was a hot day, so she couldn't help but unbutton the top button of her blouse.
She poured herself a glass of water, since she was thirsty.
Hmm... she had drank it a little quickly, meaning that some of the water had spilled onto her white blouse.
Just at this moment, Bob knocked on the door.
"Oh! Wait a minute, coming!" Ms Heidi was startled and a bit more water fell onto her blouse, causing it to become even wetter.
She grabbed some tissues and tried to pat it dry, but courtesy called, she would have to get the door.
She sighed and put down the glass, before walking briskly to the door.
"Oh, it's you! Come in! Sorry what was your name?"
"It's Bob, Professor Heidi. Thanks for making time for me to see you..." Bob was professional and polite, but at the end, his eyes couldn't help but glance at Ms Heidi's blouse, which seemed to have gone transparent due to it being wet, providing a breathtaking view of valleys and mountains.
Was this nature at its finest?
Bob exhaled in appreciation, and then met her eyes with a warm and friendly sparkle in his eye, as if telling her yes, I saw, but I don't mind. You're very attractive, anyone would want to take a look.
Ms Heidi blushed as she quickly turned away saying "Come in, and we can chat about your research interests."
Bob walked in and they sat down. He genuinely was here to learn, but from his "Eyes of Rizz" ability, he could see that Ms Heidi's interest meter was higher than before, and the relationship meter was also growing.
Her office was lined with bookshelves, and there was a sofa on the side, as well as a rug in the middle of the room and a few chairs in front of her desk, where she worked.
Ms Heidi gestured for Bob to take a seat, and then turned to her computer and brought up a few documents.
"What are your areas of interest?" Bob asked curiously looking at all the books on the shelves, on many different topics. She was clearly very intelligent and hardworking to have reached this level at such a young age.
"I enjoy teaching, but I also am doing research on the determinants of genetic success." Ms Heidi replied with a smile. "I try to analyse top genetic grades and figure out what makes them tick."
Bob nodded. Whilst he had the vision, he currently didn't have the means to make it reality. This could be a fantastic opportunity.
"That sounds very interesting. Epigenetic Research, Optimisation of Genetic Quality, and Human Ethics. I'd like to do research in these areas. Can we organise a project?"
"What do you have in mind?"
"Well... I'd like to use Multiply Projection Technology to study the impacts of Epigenetics on someone's genetic quality.
At this point in time, "Multiply Projection" was a groundbreaking technology that, as the name suggested, created several 3d projections of the future, allowing someone to see what might happen in different timelines.
"That certainly does sound interesting. What would be your hypothesis?"
Bob's idea was simple; using Multiply, he would be able to create virtual projections of several Bobs, and then subject them to different variables to see what might be the best way to improve genetic quality.
"I believe that energy is the key variable, Ms Heidi. If someone can absorb, or channel enough high quality energy into their system, then their genetic quality would improve. Think about food, that in itself is a kind of energy, so we would test for that. Then we also have social energy, the kinds of people we are surrounded by, which would also influence our genetic energy."
"Go on," Ms Heidi was interested, this was clearly a brilliant - and handsome, she noted appreciatively - young man.
"There is also spiritual energy, from the Universe or the cosmos, the Consciousness itself, comprised of emotions, thoughts, hopes, dreams and so on. You could consider this a higher form of 'social energy' too.
Stress and Adaptation would be another variable, and the key would be that high genetic quality should have higher level skills in adaptation and resilience. Physical activity and academic study would also come under this heading.
It does sound promising!
Essentially it boiled down to this: Ms Heidi studied people's genetic potential and tried to figure out what might make them improve, and so, Bob would be the perfect subject to study. Moreover, Bob himself had many theories about how to improve genetic quality already, so it would be a fantastic partnership.
After some discussion, they were able to figure out the rough details of the project, and pending a written plan, they should be able to start sometime next week!
Okay! Then it's settled! Ms Heidi smiled. Before we start, I'll need to assess your current genetic potential to get a baseline, before we start testing variables.
Ms Heidi did not possess the Eyes of Rizz, but she did have a DNA scanner that could assess an individual's genetic quality. A DNA scan was not something that could be used or done on anyone, but since Bob had agreed to the project, after signing the relevant consent forms, she began right away.
As she began the DNA scan, her eyes widened.
"W-what? What was this?!
