Chapter 21 - Episode 21: "Echoes - The Awakening Of The Chosen One"

Zoick and Sang – On the Way

As they walked through the forest, a deafening cricket sound echoed suddenly, making both of them freeze in fear.

Zoick: "What the heck?! Do crickets on this planet roar like that?"

Sang (nodding, still tense): "...Yeah. Apparently, they do."

As the path stretched on, Zoick glanced at Sang, noticing something off.

Zoick: "Hey Sang... what's with that look? Something bothering you?"

Sang (with a troubled expression): "I don't even know what I'm doing anymore. Sometimes, I feel like something's wrong with me... like I've got some kind of disorder."

Zoick placed a reassuring hand on his shoulder.

Zoick: "Don't say that, Sang. You're the chosen one, remember?"

Sang (sighs with a half-smile): "Easy for you to say. You've got monstrous strength. No one can stand against you in a one-on-one fight. But me? I don't even know what my power is. Every time I'm about to unlock something, I black out. I don't remember anything until someone tells me what happened."

Zoick: "Then don't stress it. Let fate do its thing. Until then—keep calm, stay patient, and trust the path you're on."

Sang: (nods quietly)

At the Campfire

Rakhad: "That's insane. So, Sang has all these powers… why doesn't he just use them?"

Eldrin: "Because he forgets. During the battle with you, he copied your fire ability—and unlocked Hellfire."

Upanor (pauses while eating): "He forgot? What happened to make him forget?"

Eldrin: "That... will be revealed soon."

Rohdan: "If copying power helps unlock it, then I'll duel him too—to awaken his Dark Wave form!"

Eldrin: "Don't get too excited, Rohdan. Your duel is scheduled for the day after tomorrow."

Rohdan: "Relax, Master. Let him train with me a bit!"

Sylin (to Earian): "Hey, you've been around them more than anyone. What's their mindset like? How strong are they really?"

Rakhad (cuts in): "Hey, I was with them too, you know. You could've asked me!"

Sylin (teasingly): "We're always together, Rakhad. Let's give Earian a chance to share too, since he spent more time with them lately."

Rakhad (nods): "Fair enough."

Earian: "I had a duel with Zoick. The tall guy? He's unreal. No magic, just raw energy through his fists. His speed, reflexes, and raw combat instinct… if he trains properly, he might become the strongest being among us."

Mohiran: "That strong, huh? Not bad."

Azira: "And the other one? Sang?"

Earian: "Sang… I don't fully understand him. I only saw him fight once, from a distance. But his moves? They left me stunned. Ask Rakhad—he duels him all the time."

Lohirian: "Rakhad, what do you think?"

Lyra: "Why are you all so obsessed with that weakling?"

Nero: "Yeah, I sensed nothing from his aura or spirit. Total disappointment. Don't waste your breath."

Selia: "Both of you, hush! Rakhad, please tell us about Sang."

Rakhad: "Every time we duel, it starts normal. But then… his whole presence shifts. His aura, his energy—it's like he becomes someone else. You can't explain it. You can only witness it."

Earian: "Exactly! The first time we met, Rakhad was annoyed at Sang and ordered me to battle him. Sang said something—then vanished and reappeared right in front of me. I couldn't even react. His energy was overwhelming. Master Eldrin had to intercept him. He stopped Sang's fist—but it cost him his own power and injured his hand. If that punch had landed… I'd be dead."

(Everyone gasps, stunned, as they continue eating and sharing stories of their missions.)

The campfire glowed warmly. The mood was soft, humble, and filled with quiet happiness.

Late Night – Sang's Nightmare

As Sang and Zoick returned with 10 fish, Eldrin ordered them to save it for the next day. They all went to sleep.

But Sang… had a dream.

In it, he saw a boy standing at the gates, his face hidden in blinding lightning.

Mysterious Boy: "If you seek to rule… then first, defeat me!"

The scene shifted. A grand hallway appeared, where hundreds of monstrous beings bowed before a dark silhouette.

Then a deep voice echoed:

Voice: "AFTER A LONG TIME... MY BROTHER."

Sang gasped and shot awake, panting heavily. His eyes scanned the forest—until he spotted a shadowy creature watching from a distance.

The figure darted away. Sang chased it but eventually lost track.

Panting, he stood in front of an ancient castle—the same place Threxius demon once visited.

He felt drawn to it… but turned back, choosing to rejoin the group.

Morning – Training Ground

Before sunrise, everyone was awake—except for Sang and Zoick.

Eldrin (irritated): "Upanor, use your power to wake those two up."

Upanor grinned and obeyed.

In a comical twist, Sang and Zoick were jolted from sleep, fell on each other, and shouted in panic before realizing what had happened.

They quickly freshened up and joined the others for training.

The Dueling Begins

Rohdan: "Master! Let me be the first to duel Sang today."

Sang smiled and greeted everyone with calm energy.

Before Eldrin could reply, Nero stepped in.

Nero: "I'll be the one to duel him."

Rohdan (shouting): "Hey! He's mine! Don't interfere, Nero!"

Nero: "Shut it. This is between me and him."

Sang: "Well… I'm fine with either."

Eldrin: "Zoick, Earian—you two train with Selia and Azira. Sylin, Rakhad, Lyra—pair up. Mohiran and Lohirian, Rohdan , go prepare."

Epic Duels – Elemental Beauty

The training ground roared with life. Sylin and Rakhad's duel lit up in a dazzling blend of fire and white energy. The ground shimmered with crystal attacks. Mohiran struck from the skies while Lohirian blocked on land. Rohdan flowed with water energy, completing the elemental symphony.

Sang watched, mesmerized. A quiet smile spread across his face.

Nero vs Sang – The Duel Begins

Nero (taunting): "Hey kid. Let's get this over with!"

Nero charged first, sliding Sang back several feet.

Sang rose without hesitation, eyes focused.

In a blink, he vanished—appearing right in front of Nero—and delivered a thunderous punch.

Nero staggered back seven steps.

Infuriated, he activated his Ice Power.

The battlefield became a slick ice road. Sang struggled to balance and defend simultaneously.

As Sang's foot slipped—CRACK!—an iceberg slammed into his face, sending him airborne.

Before he could recover, Nero caught him mid-air and smashed him to the ground.

The impact trembled the forest.

The others, having completed their duels, rushed to the scene—only to see Sang lying motionless, blood dripping from his mouth.

Rakhad: "Nero! What the hell did you do?! Are you insane?!"

Zoick (gritting his teeth): "You'll pay for this!"

As Zoick charged—Sang's fingers twitched.

He stood up slowly.

Nero (mocking): "Awake already? You weakling. Everyone's wasting their time on you."

Eldrin and Rakhad's eyes widened as Sang's aura shifted—the same overwhelming force he showed when he shattered the massive rock.

His injuries rapidly healed.

The ground trembled.

Everyone was speechless.

Sang raised his head, a proud smirk on his face…

Sang: "...BAAKA."
