Soldiers who were running from her were backstabbed the moment they turned around.The girl had a sad expression on her lovely face.
Sola felt his life force draining rapidly, but with every kill, it was going back to full.Sola could maintain her for less than an hour in his current state, but that was if neither of them killed anything.
Sola discovered that in battles like this, he could summon her without worrying about his life force.
The only thing that was unknown to him was the fact that Lily was too strong. She was like a deadly assassin, murdering everyone in a swift, quiet motion.
But Sola had no time to think about that as he was in the middle of a fight.

Sola was bleeding from his waist, and before the next attack could reach him, the silver blade of the woman was blocked by a tachi that was entirely made of darkness.
Some soldiers were mesmerized by the fight that was going on in the middle of the battlefield.
Two black figures were fighting the woman whose armour was completely white.It was like two demons fighting an angel.
One of the dark figures was a boy with long hair who was completely drenched in blood; his fighting style was nothing like the other black figure's.
It seemed as if the second one was gliding in the air; her movement was fluid, and she seemed calm, unlike the boy who was fighting like a hungry beast.
But they were in perfect sync, devouring the angel one attack at a time.
Sola felt enormous power from his curse, but it still was not enough to make a fatal blow on the bounder, and he was also bleeding from his wound.
The blond woman in front of them had a war god's mark. She fought like she already knew what their next move would be.

Then her eyes landed on the boy in front of her, who was staring at her with eyes filled with more rage than she had ever seen in anyone's stare before.

She was cut off as her hand was suddenly severed by the devil in front of her.
The woman fell on her knees, and so did Sola, but unlike the woman, Sola fell straight into the bloody mud with his face.
Seconds later, Sola heard the sound of slashing and someone's head rolling in front of him.
"Answer her question, Sola: what kind of devils are we?"
He could not see anything, but the soft voice he heard belonged to Lily.

After a brief pause, he heard the voice again.

The reason he fell to the ground with his face first was that he saw Erwin approaching them, so the first thing he thought to do was this.
While he was lying down in the mud, barely breathing, he heard the system's voice announcing the kills Lily was making on the battlefield.
Then he heard someone approaching him from a distance.
"Sola! Are you alive?"
It was Edric.
He dismissed Lily and rolled around.

Seconds later, he saw Erwin looking at him, standing next to Edric.
Unlike Edric and Sola, who looked battered, Erwin looked fresh and full of energy.
"How are the others? Is everyone from the cohort alive?"
Erwin looked at Sola, who had asked the question as if it were something stupid.
"They are from my crew; of course, they are okay."
They had won the battle, which they thought was lost as soon as they heard that the enemy army had two Bounders.
