I scoffed, "Or you thought I wouldn't find out about everything? Probably you called earlier to inform me of the victory party you organized."
"Enough, young man, I won't stand here and watch you rain insults on me. As for the deal, that's what we stated in the agreement, and we are going as planned," he chimed, and I glared at him, perplexed.
"What part of the agreement?" I asked, my eyes rolling.
A smile on his face as his arms dropped on my shoulders. "That's for another day. But meanwhile, if you wouldn't mind, today is a special day for my family and me," he announced firmly as he removed his arms from my shoulders and walked out.
What did he mean by a special day for his family? And what agreement did he say I signed?
A thousand questions clawed at my mind, none with answers. A waiter walked past, and I stopped him.
"Mind having a glass?" he asked with that perfect grin on his face.
"Not that, thanks," I replied, and he nodded with a smile.
