My arms remained wrapped to the handle of the door, my head buried against it, turning it open. She was at the bed, her arms crossed behind her back.
I could sense she was hiding something, but I couldn't make it out. I shut the door back and stumbled toward my own room, slamming into the bed.
My back bounced slightly over the soft duvet that still covered the bed.
What was that feeling? Why did I feel so unconscious? Was that a trance or something else? It felt so real like I was in a pool of my own blood when Bianca came in to save me.
The questions lingered in my heart, unable to find answers. And Bianca, she was just so different when I looked at her. I saw something I had never seen before.
The questions churned inside me as darkness pulled me under.
I woke up only to realize it was already past midnight. Quickly, I hurried to the kitchen, made a few pancakes, brought them back, and opened Bianca's room to drop hers off before I turned to leave.
