The office was in total chaos.
"Stop, stop, stop, stop!" Mister Warner shouted, rushing in to break up the commotion. His hands flew out to separate his furious wife, Madeleine Warner, from Ava, who stood frozen in shock.
Madeleine's chest heaved with rage. Her face had turned an angry red as she struggled to push past her husband. But Mister Warner stood firm, his voice low but steady, trying to defuse the boiling tension.
"You're crazy, what are you doing? You're causing a scene," he said sharply.
Madeleine's eyes lit up with fire as she glared at her husband.
"Oh, so you're gonna defend this bitch?" she spat, her finger jabbing in Ava's direction like a knife.
The atmosphere in the office turned even colder. Everyone was watching now. Some stood stunned, while others whispered among themselves.
Mister Warner's face hardened, clearly trying to stay in control.
"No, no, no. Listen, she's not somebody you want to be slandering, okay?"
