Chapter 51 - unplanned

The Aftermath of the Race

As the dust settled on the track, Rayan stepped out of his car, his expression twisted with frustration. His voice rang out, cutting through the cheers.

"You cheated!" he accused, pointing at Shristi before turning to Wick. "What happened, Wick? This race was between you and me. And because of the rules… we won."

Shristi's eyes widened in disbelief. "What? That's ridiculous!"

Wick clenched his jaw, his gaze flicking toward Shristi. He knew what Rayan was playing at. "She isn't from the gang. We'll do it again," he said, keeping his voice steady.

But Rayan smirked and gestured toward Shristi's wrist. "Oh? Then what's that?"

Shristi followed his gaze and saw the black bracelet Deep had given her—the emblem of The Shield gleaming under the streetlights.

"She has the bracelet," Rayan continued. "That makes her one of you."

Shristi stepped forward, her anger bubbling over. "You're the one who cheated! You rammed my car, and I still won! A girl beat you. Look at me, Rayan! A girl won."

Rayan's face darkened, but he didn't back down. "Rules are rules, Wick. You have to pay."

Wick sighed, reaching into his pocket. "Fifteen thousand it is."

Shristi turned sharply. "But Vikram—!"

Before she could say another word, Wick held up a hand, silently stopping her.

Then, another voice cut through the tension.

Taji stepped forward, smirking as he addressed Wick. "You love your bike and car more than your life, don't you, Wick?" His smile turned cruel. "But you have to say goodbye to one lover. Stay loyal to just one."

Wick's eyes burned with fury, his body going rigid.

Shristi saw it, felt the shift in his demeanor. She reached out to stop him, but before she could, Wick pulled his keys from his pocket and tossed them toward Taji without a word.

He turned on his heel and started walking away.

That's when Sahil's mocking voice echoed through the crowd.

"You're wrong, Taji." His tone was dripping with amusement. "Wick has three lovers—his bike, his car, and that bitch."

A burst of laughter followed.

Rayan chuckled. "Next time, leave this bitch at home."

The moment the words left his mouth, Wick stopped in his tracks.

The air grew still.

Shristi felt her stomach drop as she saw Wick's fists clench at his sides.

Without warning, Wick turned back and delivered a brutal punch to Rayan's face. The force of it sent him sprawling to the ground.

And with that, chaos erupted.

The Battle Begins

Fists flew, bodies clashed, and the once-lively party turned into an all-out brawl.

It was The Shield and The Legacy against Wallahak, Dominar, Descent, and Black Cobra.

Dipanshu and Shreekant tore through their opponents with sheer strength, sending bodies flying.

Nick and Wick fought with precision, their movements sharp, calculated, almost elegant in the way they dismantled their enemies.

Roy and Priyanshu were no less impressive—each blow they landed was precise, each counter swift.

On the other side, Taji and Sahil fought viciously, their strikes relentless.

The fight was brutal, raw, unrelenting.

Then, suddenly—

A loud whistle cut through the air.

A group of students from other colleges stormed in, pushing the fighters apart, forcing the chaos to a halt.

Among them, to everyone's surprise, was Sam's friend.

Breathing heavily, Wick wiped the blood from his lips. He exchanged a sharp look with Nick, then turned away.

Without another word, The Shield and The Legacy walked away.

The Fallout

Back at college, tension lingered in the air.

In the cafeteria, a small group of boys gathered, murmuring among themselves.

"Shristi isn't part of the group," one of them muttered. "She shouldn't be included in all this."

Vivek, arms crossed, nodded in approval. "Raise your voices. If she's not one of us, she shouldn't be involved."

The murmuring grew louder.

Then, Wick walked in.

He said nothing.

He simply looked at them.

A single, piercing stare.

The room fell silent.

No one dared to speak against Shristi again.
