[Ding! Obtained Heather Sawyer's Conquest Treasure Chest! Open it now?]
Heather's riding skills weren't exactly polished – you could even say they were pretty rough. But hey, those constantly jiggling airbags kind of made up for it.
Roy's eyes were practically spinning from all the bouncing. He had to put a hand on those airbags just to keep things from getting too bumpy.
Since his back was still a bit sore, Roy didn't push himself too hard. He only went a couple of rounds with Heather.
Honestly, Heather's stamina wasn't the greatest. She was no match for the cheerleader captain, Jennifer. She was pretty worn out after just two rides on the "big horse."
And with Roy's back still acting up, they decided to call it a truce.
He glanced at the soundly sleeping Heather, gave her airbags a little squeeze, and then got ready to open the chest.
"System, open Leatherface's Fate Treasure Chest!"
[Opening Leatherface's Fate Treasure Chest…]
[Obtained 3 Strength attribute points!]
[Obtained 3 Constitution attribute points!]
[Obtained Chainsword!]
Whoa, did he just get his signature weapon?
Roy knew about chainswords. They were from that game called Warhammer 40K, right?
[Chainsword: Capable of easily tearing through flesh and metal, but be careful when using it. This weapon can easily injure yourself too. For the Emperor!]
It's a cool item and all, but it seems a bit dangerous and not exactly something you can just carry around easily.
As for the attribute points, not much to say there. After adding them, Roy's Strength and Constitution were now 18 and 24 respectively.
Yeah, he was definitely heading further down the path of not being entirely human.
Roy gave Heather's other airbag another squeeze.
Last time, he only touched the "kitty" once, and then he forgot to touch it the second time he opened a chest, which led to Jennifer's Conquest Treasure Chest not giving him anything good.
This time, Roy was making sure things were symmetrical.
But it seemed like Heather was stirring.
"Roy, is it morning already?"
"No, go back to sleep."
Just as Roy was about to pull his hand back, Heather actively held his hand to her chest.
Well, there was no helping it then. Roy had no choice but to grab those airbags.
"System, open Heather Sawyer's Conquest Treasure Chest!"
[Opening Heather Sawyer's Conquest Treasure Chest…]
[Obtained 2 Willpower attribute points!]
[Obtained Sawyer Family Chainsaw Usage Techniques!]
Another good drop?
After obtaining the Sawyer Family Chainsaw Usage Techniques, Roy's mind was instantly filled with a ton of knowledge about chainsaws, including how to make, repair, and modify all sorts of chainsaws, as well as how to fight with one.
That solved the chainsword problem. With the Sawyer family's chainsaw skills, even if Roy wasn't quite an Imperial Guardsman, he at least wouldn't accidentally hurt himself.
Even though Heather's chest only gave him 2 Willpower points, Roy was still pretty satisfied.
He felt this urge to just pull the chainsword out of his inventory anactivelyd rev it up a couple of times.
Nah, better not wake Heather.
Most of the residents of Waterfall Town had no idea what had happened at the Sawyer estate.
Mostly because the town government had ordered the police to keep their mouths shut, and since the people who died this time were all outsiders, the whole thing just quietly went away.
Roy, as usual, still got some hush money – only 10,000 bucks, but hey, it was better than nothing.
Roy didn't really care about that small amount of cash anymore, though, because he'd now latched onto the rich Heather.
Heather had inherited millions of dollars worth of property and a huge chunk of land from the Sawyer family. As long as she didn't go crazy with spending, she'd be set for life.
The next morning, Heather was already hoping that Roy would marry her.
Roy naturally wasn't going to tie himself down to just one tree when there was a whole forest out there. He used his young age as an excuse to put her off.
Eighteen was considered a pretty normal age to get married in a small town like Waterfall Town.
Lots of people in town got married at eighteen or nineteen, and had kids in their early twenties. But Heather was from Los Angeles, so she wasn't aware of that.
"Roy, I really don't want to be apart from you. Why don't you just move into the Sawyer estate?"
Heather was still a bit scared, which was understandable. The Sawyer estate was so big, and she was the only woman living there. It would definitely be a little creepy.
Especially with all the people who had died in the villa.
Roy definitely couldn't just move into the Sawyer estate. Otherwise, all the "fish" in his pond would swim away.
"My parents definitely wouldn't go for that. Heather, I think you should hire some locals to help you manage the estate. That way, there'll be some people around the place."
Heather thought Roy had a point.
"But I'm not a resident of Waterfall Town."
"That's okay, I can introduce you to some people! I'll take the day off today and help you sort out the case and the estate's issues."

When Roy woke up in the morning, he felt that his back was already feeling a bit better. That was probably his 24 points in Constitution kicking in.
Constitution not only determines how much punishment someone can take and their physical stamina, but it also affects how fast their body recovers.
Heather hugged Roy. She didn't know that his back injury had already gotten a bit better. She just thought he was helping her despite being injured, and she felt even more touched.
"Roy, you're so sweet!"
The two of them went to the Sawyer estate. The villa had been a flurry of police activity all night. The bodies had all been taken away, but Heather would have to clean up the bloodstains and signs of the fight herself.
Heather started tidying up the villa. Roy wanted to help, but Heather was worried about his back and wouldn't let him.
Heather spent several hours cleaning up the villa. Then, with Roy's help, she buried her grandmother.
Around noon, guests suddenly arrived at the Sawyer estate – a middle-aged couple.
Heather was in the kitchen making lunch at the time, and Roy answered the door.
"Who are you?"
"We're Heather's parents. Let us in!"
Heather's parents had died twenty years ago. These two must be Heather's adoptive parents.
These two had actually been involved in that trial against the Sawyer family twenty years ago. At the time, they found Heather as a baby and, instead of killing her, they adopted her and took her to Los Angeles.
Heather had told Roy that her childhood wasn't happy because her adoptive parents were alcoholics who often drank and abused her.
So, after receiving the lawyer's letter, Heather had resolutely come to Texas to find her relatives, just to get away from that family.
Now, seeing Heather's adoptive parents, Roy didn't get a good feeling about them either. They had absolutely no manners and were acting like Heather's house was their own.
"Heather, your adoptive parents are here!"
Roy didn't let them in, blocking the doorway and calling for Heather.
The sound of a plate shattering came from the kitchen, and Heather walked out, frowning.
"What are you doing here?"
Heather's adoptive father greedily eyed the luxurious decorations inside the villa.
"Heather, I didn't expect you to actually inherit the Sawyer family's fortune. Why didn't you tell us about such a good thing?"
"This has nothing to do with you!"
"That won't do! We raised you for so many years! You have to support us!"
As she said that, Heather's adoptive mother immediately tried to push her way into the villa.
Roy instantly drew his revolver.
"This is private property!"
