He switched to Wood Breathing.

He focused wood energy on his restrained arm. Green mist emanated, a faint green light glowing in his palm.
Lower Rank Four was completely helpless, experiencing unprecedented restraint. Other Slayers would be unable to break free.
Meanwhile, Lower Rank Three, anticipating Ryuji's counter, surrounded him with five shadow clones, almost touching him.
