Dance of Death involved spinning and launching numerous shurikens, with the shadow clones mimicking the attack.
The close proximity of the five clones showed Lower Rank Three's intent to kill.
Ryuji couldn't create distance from the clones; his foot was still entangled. Wood Invasion had freed his hands, but not his foot.
Attempting to free his foot would have left him defenseless against Dance of Death. He would have died.
Five clones unleashed a barrage of shurikens.
Raging River Force deflected most, but its two-second duration was insufficient.
The deflected shurikens scattered, cutting down leaves like rain.
Dance of Death lasted longer. Using the two seconds of invincibility from Dark Blade Annihilation, Ryuji used Domain Judgment against the clones and Lower Rank Three.

He cast it instantly, without charging, so the power was weaker.
It deflected most of the shurikens, but some still grazed him.
Though Domain Judgment hit Lower Rank Three, Dance of Death continued, though several shurikens injured her.
After the judgment, Ryuji escaped the attack range, stepping onto the falling leaves.
He moved like a dragonfly skimming water, creating ripples with each step, as if walking on water.
"Water Breathing, Ninth Form, Splashing Water Flow!"
This technique, using leaves for movement, was similar to Tanjiro's tactic against Gyutaro, but Tanjiro used paper; Ryuji used leaves.
Ryuji was more skilled, deflecting shurikens while advancing on Lower Rank Three.
Lower Rank Three continued Dance of Death, even though Ryuji had escaped.
Lower Rank Four couldn't restrain Ryuji on the leaves. Even transforming into tentacles, she couldn't stop him.
