I reluctantly followed the doctor from behind, while he walked towards the direction of his office. What other news does he have to relate to me? I wondered within myself.
I stepped into Dr Cole's office, after a few minutes of strolling down the hallway, still wondering what it was that he had to tell me.
I settled on the same spot I had seated on some hours ago while he took his seat at the other side of the desk.
"Mr Litt," he started to say, once he was settled, and I tried to focus my gaze on him but my mind was distant. There were so many questions running through my mind at the same time. All of them related to the news I had received from this same office.
"Like I said earlier, my team and I are doing all we can," he paused again and I clenched my fist and teeth. Has he any idea how difficult it was for me to sit at this table, and pretend to be cool when my only chance to father a child has just been dashed? He surely has no idea.
