Catherine's POV
A loud gasp escaped my lips as the nurses came rushing.
I felt weak on the bed, my head spinning. The pain was becoming unbearable by the minute. I held my head tightly, eyes shut from the agony.
A few minutes later, the doctor walked in. She checked the machine's beeping sound, then pulled out a syringe and injected me with it.
Slowly, the pain started to fade, and my vision became blurry as I drifted into sleep.
Everything faded.

Moments later
The sound of the door creaking open echoed through my eardrum, and I slowly let my eyes open to catch the bright light hung on the top of the ceiling.
I could hear footsteps approaching, and I slowly drifted my head to meet the gaze of Doctor Kate by my side, a warm smile on her face.
"How do you feel now?" she added, sliding her arms into her gown pockets.
"I'm getting all better. I feel like a little child now, peaceful as ever," I replied, and she chuckled.
"That's expected, my dear," she said.
