Chapter 1 - One

Riayara De Salavejo was born into a rich family but was raised poor.

Her parents sent her to her nanny, who lives in another country.

Her parents saw her as a disappointment, a scandal, a skeleton that no one should ever learn about.

"Raia, did your mother say anything about the school where they enrolled you?" I looked at my nanny, who was already very old, as she was my mother's former nanny when she was still a kid.

I shook my head as Mother never even told me what kind of school she enrolled me in.

At first, my parents had put me in an asylum.

I was only there for two months as the news broke and they didn't want to taint their perfect name.

I was there; all I could hear all night was screaming and asking for help.

But no, they weren't from those people who were also admitted there.

I saw so many things that I just begged the one who was taking care of me there to give me a lot of sleeping pills so I couldn't see or hear them all the time.

I was back to reality when my phone rang.

I opened it and saw my mother's message.

'Your school was about to start.

I already arranged everything for you, so just stay there and keep yourself away from tainting our name.'-

Raia looked at the letter as it always had been like this. Her mother, who just always follows her father.

She had never even stopped him when he put her in the asylum. She just said to her that it was for their own reputation.

What does she even expect from her mother, who didn't even hold her when she was a baby?

Raia looked at the things that her mother gave her along with the card.

"What did your mother say?" Her nanny asked her when she noticed that she sighed after reading her mother's letter.

"Nothing, as usual," Raia said casually and her nanny caressed her hair.

If there's one person who knew her too well other than herself was her nanny.

Her nanny, who was more a mother figure to her than her real mother.

She looked at the house where she will be staying for she didn't know how long.

The house looks very old and looks like the one from the horror movie.

They must have despised her too much to give her this kind of house.

Raia went upstairs to where her room is. The room looks big; at least it was more decent than the last room her parents provided her.

She put her luggage in the corner and went to the bed. She feels tired and closes her eyes.

------------------

Raia looked at the people who were passing her; she didn't know where she was.

She looked at her back as she saw a woman who was wearing a black cape.

She could feel goosebumps when she saw the woman walk to the street.

Raia turned her back again and saw that people seemed not to care about what was happening. She looked at the woman again and saw that the cape was already gone and her eyes went bigger when she recognized who it was.

It was the lady who she met at the airport and helped her with the directions .

Raia ran towards the woman whom she didn't even know.

The woman smiled at her as she faced front.

Raia screamed when the woman was hit by a raging truck that was running so fast.

There was blood scattered on the street and the woman looked at her before she closed her eyes.

--------------

"Raia!"

"Raia!"

Raia woke up gasping for her breath. She looked at her bedside table, which had a clock and it said it was two am in the morning.

"What happened to you?" Her nanny asks her as she pours some water into the glass and gives it to her.

She looked around her and saw that it was dark; the only light that was in the room was from a lamp.

"What happened? Why is there no light?" Raia asked as she frowned. She can feel her sweat from her forehead start streaming down.

"There's a blackout here; the electricity in this place is different from what you're used to." Her nanny answered her, and Raia looked around when she felt that someone was staring at her. She tried looking behind her nanny and she saw a figure who passed by and she saw the figure pass through the wall.

Her eyes widen at what she saw.

She has been seeing ghost since she was a kid, since-

No, she didn't want to go back there again.

"What's wrong? You look pale," her nanny asked her and Raia just shook her head.

She took her headphone that was on her bed that she forgot to wear a while ago.

Her nanny left her with the lamp and Raia turned on her headphones so she could sleep peacefully.

------

She woke up early in the morning as the school has already started in where her mother enrolled her.

"Come here, Raia!" She heard her nanny call her from the dining room.

The house was pretty big but also eerie.

It looks like it was abandoned many years ago.

Her mother must have chosen the house for her to completely lose it.

She was about to turn her pace when-

"The woman who was hit by a raging truck was killed on the spot."

Raia stopped moving when they flashed the photo of the woman who was killed by the truck, and her eyes widened when she saw that it was the same woman who was in her dream.

The next photo that was flashed was the photo that came from the scene, and it was the same thing she saw in her dreams.

Raia felt horror at what she was seeing.

It was happening again.

She had dreamt of someone's death again.

"Raia... What's-"

Raia heard her nanny but her feet seemed to be glued to the floor and she was shaking while looking at the news. She couldn't even understand what the news was saying; all she knew was she did it again.

No, it can't be...

She didn't kill her, right?

"What's happening?" Her nanny asked her as she hugged her.

"Nanny..." Raia said as her voice was also shaking in fear.

"What happened? You can tell me..." She said to her as she was comforting her.

"It happened again..." Raia said and she felt her nanny stiffen at what she said.

She lifted her head from her nanny's shoulder, and she wished she never did, as she saw the woman who had been reported to be dead in front of her.

"Ahhh"

Raia screamed loudly as the woman was full of blood, and her body looked so smashed that her brain was outside her head.

The woman smiled at her as she tilted her head, which made her brain fall to the floor.

She screamed again when she saw it.

"Ahhh"

"Raia.... What's going on? What are you seeing?" Her nanny shook her, but Raia couldn't answer her, as she suddenly felt like she was falling down.

Before she could even fall, she heard the woman say.

"Help... me...."
