"Did you enjoy the refreshments?" He asked, his gaze fixed on the half-eaten mochi in his hand and the cup of tea that had been discarded.
Wooyun gulped unconsciously.
"I…can't say that I didn't." He said honestly.
"Oh?"
"Though, the tea was a little too bitter for my taste." When he said that, Baek Junghwa's eyes flashed with surprise before an amused chuckle erupted from his lips.
"I'm sorry to hear that," he replied as he approached the table. "The tea you drank wasn't supposed to be served to you. My aide must've mixed the two up."
"Oh. That's alright." Wooyun said, unable to come up with anything else to say. He always got like this whenever he was around Baek Junghwa. It was like his mere presence rendered him unable to form a coherent thought.
The demon lord sat across from Wooyun with a light smile dancing on his lips.
"Do you make it a habit of drinking such bitter tea?" He couldn't help asking.
