The older man walked in the long corridor that led to the quarters of the man he was supposed to meet.
He was led by two servants who opened the large doors for him and immediately bowed to his knees upon seeing the man before him.
"This lowly one greets the Heavenly Master," he said, his low voice filled with reverence and praise.
The older man turned and faced the bowing man and smiled. His smile wasn't warm or friendly, but the kind of unsettling smile that looked as though he was waiting. Like he had been waiting for his arrival for a long time.
The bowing man's heart raced as he waited for the older man to acknowledge his presence. "You may rise, Elder Jegal." The man finally said.
Jegal did as he was told and rose to his feet. He was now face-to-face with the sect leader.
"I can surmise by your visit that you have some good news to bring me?" He said, his tone gentle yet expectant.
