Chapter 26 - Finally, a Peaceful Scene within Bumbleweed

Jaymir walks over to the withering tree and pours his potion on it, the whole potion. The withering tree's trunk turned from a dark, dreadful color into a lively reddish-brown hue, and at the end of the branches, tiny bulbs sprouted, showing that Jaymir's potion had brought the tree back to life, but at a slow rate.

Everyone in the street glanced over at the tree and saw that it was turning back to its lively state. Gasps, awe, and cheers filled the air from the crowd. Even Greemo glanced over to the tree, at first an expression of shock shown on his face, but then he closed his eyes and nodded as a grin spread across his face as if he was impressed.

Jaymir turned around, looking towards the people of Bumbleweed, "Give it time, and it will be back to normal." he flopped down, sitting by the tree, showing his exhaustion. he then closed his eyes, and a gentle smile spread across his face, then turned into a relaxed expression. Malerin walked up to Jaymir and watched him as he went into a slumber. She then led towards his ear and said, "Thank you for helping us, now for your payment..." She halted what she was saying and kissed him on the cheek.

Greemo walked up to the potion that Jaymir made, and he smelled it and tasted it, his expression turned sour and in disgust, as if he didn't like the taste or smell of the potion, as he coughed out, "Gah! Baw Bane? To think he made something so powerful with such a useless plant."

Despite Jaymir being exhausted and resting under the tree that seems to be slowly coming back to life, there was another problem at hand that Jaymir had to take care of: the Laverions. Now that the talismans were gone, Bumbleweed is going to have the old problem back, and Jaymir knew this, yet he was so tired from making the potion.

However, while Jaymir slept, O'garth took point, watching and waiting for the Laverions to appear, yet nothing happened, not even a howl in the night. Despite the peace, the people of Bumbleweed had for one night, they were nervous; they had never had a peaceful, quiet night before. They were on edge; they were ready for these beasts to come and take the weak. Yet, nothing happened.

Greemo walked towards the gate at nighttime, spotted O'garth, and stated, "Mr. Brassguard, you care that much for this town, you are still waiting for the Laverions?" O'garth stern look glances at Greemo yet continues staring at the road waiting patiently, "Mr. Flintsprechet, what are you going up at this time!" Greemo smirks with nervousness, "I can ask you the same thing, go get some sleep!"

O'garth scoughed and grunted, "Not until I know it would be safe!" Greemo grunts under his breath, yet states, "For a human, Mr. Tradesworth is something, huh?" Greemo walks away, but halts as he states, "Just relax a bit, the Baw bane's aroma from his potion is keeping them away." then he continued to to walk back to the dwarven barracks to stay in a jailcell. O'garth watches Greemo go to the barracks, shocked that he was taking his sentence seriously.

In the morning, Jaymir woke up to the streets being noisy and busy, and then realized he had fallen asleep by the tree, yet he also noticed Malerin was sitting by him with two cups of tea, asking him while lifting her tea cup, "morning, a cup of tea, Mr. tradesworth?" a cocky but friendly and welcoming grin forms on her face as she stares towards him almost with a flirtious gaze.

Jaymir smiles, yet blushes as he states, "Oh, that would be nice, thank you." Malerin continues to look at him and sips on her tea, stating, "So, I thought you should know, no Laverions appeared last night. O'garth, stand up all night watching the gates." Jaymir coughs, choking on his tea as he hears the news, shocked at what he heard, "What?" Malerin nods yet continues to sip her tea.
