"Do you want me to leave, Kealith? Is that why you're here?"
He swallows, but no words leave his mouth, so I decide to press further.
"We made a blood oath. We have to get married. Or is there a new way to break blood oaths that I'm unaware of?" I then demand, and I watch his face fall ever so lightly.
"So you're doing this just because of the oath?" He replies, and my jaw drops.
"I never said that!"
"But you-" he begins, and I've had enough on the topic.
"Kealith, I'm choosing to stay here of my own free will. No one is forcing me to. However, you sound adamant to get rid of me. What is going on? What do you want?" I question in confusion, and his reply turns me to ice.
"I want you to leave, Mirelah!"
I blink at him in confusion as my heart starts thudding. He can't possibly mean that. He wants me to leave?!
If he does, then it's all over. I won't be able to get married to him. I won't be able to stay here… I'll have to go back home. To square one!
