Lana
The sound of footsteps rushed through the corridor, like a small unstoppable storm.
My bedroom door nearly slammed open when he burst in—panting and wearing a grin so wide it practically swallowed his whole face.
Sylas.
"LANA!" he yelled, loud enough to make my ears ring.
I flinched slightly but couldn't help smiling at the sight of him.
"Finally!" Sylas ran to the side of the bed and immediately pulled me into a hug—not too tight, but enough to show just how panicked he'd been.
"SYLAS!" Kaelith scolded, still seated beside my bed.
"Yeah, yeah, relax. I know she just woke up—I'm not gonna shatter her into pieces!" he replied as he gently let me go.
Sylas looked at me like a child who'd just gotten their favorite toy back.
"You're really back. I thought… I thought you wouldn't wake up for a whole year and become Sleeping Beauty."
I let out a small laugh. "Sleeping Beauty? Then maybe I should go back to sleep."
