A week had passed. Lunara stared at the beach in front of her while taking a deep breath. She didn't know what happened after the flight straight to Maldives that night, but all she knew was that Eryx hadn't talked much this past week.
"Here, your orange juice." Eryx came, putting down a glass of orange juice on the round table beside her. "Are you sure you don't want to eat yet?"
Lunara nodded, "I'm still full from the big breakfast earlier." She gave him a grin while rounding her hand around her tummy.
Eryx sat beside her in silence, watching the tide roll in and out like it had all the time in the world. For a moment, he said nothing.
She looked so peaceful. So unbothered by everything she had been dragged into because of him.
He let his fingers curl lightly against the edge of his chair, trying to hold back the gnawing question that hadn't left him since they arrived.
'Did I do the right thing… bringing her into this mess?'
