"You're not supposed to be here," he said.
"I live here now," she fired back, dragging her box into the apartment.

"I read am well," Ada replied. "It said two tenants. And I be one."
Dimeji sighed. "Fantastic. Another headache."
She rolled her eyes. "Relax. I no dey here to disturb your rich-man peace. Just point me to my room."
Without a word, he turned and walked down the hallway. She followed, suitcase wheels squeaking on the tiled floor.
"Rules," he said, pausing at the last room. "No noise. No guests. No drama."
Ada laughed. "Then you picked the wrong roommate, oga."
He gave her a look, like he regretted every decision that led to this moment, then walked away.
