Konoha, Golden Egg Shop.
Haruto was basking in the sun on a lounge chair when he heard Naruto's energetic voice from a distance.
"Boss, I'm back! This time, I want to smash three golden eggs!"
"Haha!" Haruto smiled slightly.
Looks like Naruto made a lot of money from the Wave Country mission. He's actually bold enough to smash three eggs in one go!
"Hey, boss, let me tell you something!" Naruto leaned in with a mysterious look. "You'll never believe what happened on this mission!"
"What?" Haruto chuckled casually. "Don't tell me… you ran into a Jōnin?"
"Hahaha! Boss, you're amazing! You guessed it on the first try!" Naruto laughed.
"Idiot!" Sakura and Sasuke rolled their eyes and looked away, clearly exasperated.
"But the ninja we fought wasn't just any ordinary ninja!" Naruto added proudly. "Kakashi-sensei said he was a rogue ninja from the Hidden Mist—super powerful!"
"It's missing-nin," Sasuke corrected flatly.
"Hmph! I like calling it rogue ninja better, so there!" Naruto snapped back.
"Two idiots," Kakashi muttered, glancing at them while flipping through his adult novel.
Ever since they returned from the Wave Country mission, these two had been like this—arguing constantly, trying to one-up each other. But somehow, the banter added energy to the team. When it was just Naruto causing chaos, things had felt a little dull.
"Hey boss, that Vajra Indestructible Art of yours is amazing!" Naruto said excitedly. "That ninja had this huge sword, and he slashed me twice on the head—and his sword broke!"
"What the hell?!" Haruto sat up abruptly. "What did you just say?!"
"I said that sword hit me twice and broke! Right in half!" Naruto repeated, a bit confused by Haruto's sudden reaction.
"You… used the Vajra Indestructible Divine Art twice?!" Haruto stared at Naruto in disbelief.
That's when Naruto finally caught on.
"Yeah," he said, counting on his fingers. "Once during the fight with Zabuza's water clone… and again when I saved Kakashi-sensei!"
"So… two times total!" Naruto nodded, confident.
"…" Haruto turned to Sakura and Sasuke with a blank expression. "You two didn't try to stop him?"
"…" Sakura stared at the sky. Sasuke studied the ants crawling on the ground. Neither said a word.
"You guys are something else," Haruto chuckled.
"Eh, it's fine!" Naruto said, rubbing his head sheepishly.
"The Vajra Indestructible Art can only be used five times in a lifetime. Didn't I tell you that?" Haruto said flatly.
"Yeah, but I've only used it twice!" Naruto replied, unconcerned.
"Idiot! That's already three times!" Sakura yelled, punching Naruto on the head.
Dong! The familiar bell-like sound rang out again from Naruto's golden body.
As the pain settled in, Naruto suddenly remembered—the first time he used the technique was when he tested it after smashing the golden egg!
"Then that means…" Naruto began counting again.
"Twice left!" Haruto raised two fingers in front of Naruto's face with a dramatic flourish.
"What?!" Naruto's expression turned pale. "I only have two more chances to use it?!"
If I use it more than that, my body will explode and I'll die!
"So scary…" Naruto shivered at the thought.
"Haha!" Haruto smirked, enjoying Naruto's panic.
"…" Kakashi continued reading Male Ninja Abin, completely unbothered.
In his opinion, it wasn't a bad thing for Haruto to mess with Naruto a little. The boy relied too much on that indestructible defense. This way, he'd be more serious about training. True strength had to come from within.
With just Genin-level abilities and a few special items from Haruto's shop, Team 7 was already fighting Jōnin-class threats. It was time to ground them again.
"But as long as I stop using it, I'll be safe, right?" Naruto asked.
"Yup," Haruto said, nodding. "You'll live."
"Boss, you're the best!" Naruto grinned in relief.
"Haha!" Haruto chuckled dryly. That flattery was barely worth anything.
"So? Aren't you here to smash eggs?" Haruto asked, getting back to business.
"Right! I'm rich now!" Naruto handed over six thousand ryō with a proud grin. "Three golden eggs, please!"
"Okay," Haruto replied, giving Naruto six coins in change and placing three golden eggs in front of him.
Naruto carefully stuffed the six coins back into his nearly empty toad wallet and eagerly picked up the golden hammer.
Finally, I can afford three golden eggs!
Without hesitation, Naruto swung the hammer and smashed the three golden eggs.
Bang!
Golden fragments flew as nine glowing orbs of light floated into the air.

Blue Essence – regular drop. Nothing too crazy. But the kid actually drew two 200-point drops?
He really is the Child of Destiny.
Haruto narrowed his eyes. I just finished developing a use for blue essence... and Naruto immediately pulls this much of it? Coincidence?
