Haruto briefly explained the functions of the props to Naruto.
Naruto immediately put on the Armor of Thorns.
"Boss, you mean… as long as this background music is playing, no one can beat me?!"
Naruto asked curiously, holding an MP3 player in his hand.
Although Shikamaru also smashed one out before, his was a simple intelligence boost. But mine? Mine makes me invincible with BGM! Isn't that too overpowered?
If I used this while fighting Kakashi-sensei, could I actually beat him?
"Of course," Haruto said calmly. "As long as your opponent isn't overwhelmingly stronger than you, they won't be your match under this BGM."
"But if it's a super expert like Kakashi… best run as fast as you can!"
"Oh!" Naruto nodded, pretending to understand.
"In fact, the most useful thing you drew this time is this—Dog Beating Stick Technique!" Haruto smiled, waving the scroll in his hand.
"Huh?" Naruto tilted his head, confused.
Isn't this BGM already OP enough?
"Come here. Take a look at this name," Haruto motioned for Naruto to come closer.
"Dog… beating… stick… method~" Naruto read the words slowly, clearly still puzzled.
"Well?" Haruto grinned.
"I don't get it!" Naruto admitted, scratching his head.
"Think about it—'dog beating.' That means any canine-type ninja beast will be suppressed by this taijutsu. Don't you remember anyone?" Haruto nudged him along.
"Canine ninja beast… hmm…" Naruto thought hard, then a certain figure popped into his mind.
"Kiba!" Naruto shouted suddenly, then burst out laughing.
"Haha, smart boy!" Haruto cackled, exchanging a smirk with Naruto.
"…" Sasuke, Sakura, and Kakashi silently watched the two scheming troublemakers and observed a respectful three-second silence for Kiba.
"Achoo!"
In the Inuzuka Clan compound, Kiba was sparring with Akamaru when he suddenly sneezed.
"Cold?" he muttered, rubbing his nose.
Back at the Golden Egg Shop.
"Who's next?" Haruto asked, glancing at the others.
"Me," Sasuke said, stepping up to the counter.
Six thousand ryō. No change.
"The boss is generous."
With three crisp bangs, nine glowing light spheres floated up.
Haruto took a quick look—Sasuke's luck was as bad as ever.
The only decent thing he got was a Ninjutsu scroll: Secret Art – Thunder Armor.
Sasuke held a handful of blue essence with a gloomy look.
I'm the top genius of the Ninja Academy, an Uchiha prodigy… and my luck's worse than Naruto's?
Before, maybe Sasuke could've brushed it off. But ever since the Wave Country mission, a rivalry had sparked between him and Naruto. Neither was willing to be second to the other.
Now seeing Naruto get better loot than him only added fuel to the fire.
Still, the boss always said the egg rewards were random. There was no changing that.
Luckily, Thunder Armor was powerful enough to keep him from complaining out loud.
Next was Sakura.
Her luck today wasn't great either. A few toy bamboo dragonflies and healing items—not exactly game-changing.
Haruto now realized that Sakura's luck really didn't compare to the two "children of destiny." Honestly, it was about the same level as Kiba's.
Then came Kakashi. His luck today?
Quite exceptional.
Not only did he get another one of his favorite "literary masterpieces," he also drew a truly broken item: the Gene Repair Agent.
Gene Repair Agent: Originating from a high-dimensional tech civilization, it can perfectly repair and enhance genetic structures. After injection, it allows full compatibility with implanted Sharingan—granting the user on/off control like a natural Uchiha. Also boosts physical stats and chakra capacity.
After Haruto's explanation, Kakashi trembled slightly as he accepted the syringe—and injected it into himself without hesitation.
Haruto watched in silence, feeling a little sentimental.
The youngest Jōnin in Konoha's history now struggled even against someone like Zabuza.
The Sharingan gave him power… but also shackles.
Not being an Uchiha, Kakashi couldn't deactivate it. And having it constantly active burned through chakra at a terrifying rate. Even Uchiha clan members wouldn't keep it active indefinitely.
He'd had no choice but to keep it covered with his forehead protector to minimize chakra drain.
Kakashi earned his title "Copy Ninja" thanks to the Sharingan's ability to mimic non-kekkei genkai jutsu—but only if he had the right chakra nature.
Fortunately, Kakashi had all five elemental chakra natures. He even possessed Yin and Yang.
Technically, he could learn any Ninjutsu he wanted. Kekkei Genkai? Kekkei Tōta? If Kakashi put his mind to it, he could research them all.
Even something as complex as Kaguya Ōtsutsuki's genetic structure wasn't entirely out of reach.
The only things holding him back were his limited chakra… and lack of full control over the Sharingan.
Now, the Gene Repair Agent would erase those limits forever.
"Aaaah!!!"
As soon as the agent entered his body, Kakashi let out a tortured wail.
His body burned—like being trapped inside an oven. Every cell broke down and reformed, his entire body being reconstructed at the genetic level.
Only the faint coolness from his Sharingan eye allowed him to stay conscious.
But it also made him feel the pain even more vividly.
From the others' perspective, Kakashi looked like he was violently trembling—clearly in agony.
Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura stood frozen, worry etched across their faces.
After what felt like ages, Kakashi finally relaxed. He was soaked in sweat, breathing heavily.
He looked absolutely wrecked—but somehow, at peace.
Haruto handed him a mirror with a small smile.
Kakashi reached for it, raised it slowly… and his eyes widened.
His left eye was black.
Normal.
His Sharingan had deactivated!
He tried activating it using his chakra—and like magic, the Sharingan reappeared.
He could now control it… like a true Uchiha.
"How does it feel?" Haruto asked, grinning.
"Great!"
But just as Kakashi was about to say more, a strange voice echoed from deep inside his mind…
